At the corner of her eye, she detected a flash of movement heading in her general direction. That, at least, brought a flicker of hope in her chest. “Excuse me,” She called out to the weary-looking attendant hauling boxes of chips and sweets. “Do you have any of the blue ones?” She thumbed at the unimpressive selection of Gatorade inside the fridge.
The guy hardly even looked in her direction. “Do you see one in there?”
“No..”
“Then that’s your answer.”
Bette raised an eyebrow at the man’s stand-offish reply. Was she just imagining it? She was a little pissed off, after all. Maybe it affected her hearing. Her bad mood must be contagious. He was just a scrawny guy, looked harmless enough. Yeah, maybe she just misinterpreted his tone. No need to piss herself further with anger-bred delusions. She cleared her throat, took a deep cleansing breath and forced a cheery demeanor. “Are you sure about that?”
“Pretty much, yeah.” The attendant dismissed with a lazy shrug, going back to his chore of stocking the junk food aisle with as much gusto as a someone who just had his appendix removed.
“Can you check at the back at least?” She pressed, not ready to throw in the towel just yet. If she came back empty handed, a certain someone wouldn’t be too happy. And really, after the trying morning they’ve had, the last thing she wanted to be was stuck in a car with a moaning Alice. She looked hopefully at the closed stock room door. “Maybe you have one in stock in there..”
“I told ya lady, there ain’t any blue ones anywhere in this store. If it’s not in the fridge, I’m not gonna bother wasting time looking at the back.”
At his arrogant and irritable tone, Bette’s face went rigid. Okay, surely she wasn’t imagining that. The man looked exhausted and burnt out, like he hadn’t had a good night’s sleep in weeks; but still, fatigue was no excuse for rudeness. Especially for someone who works in retail. It was bad business, plain and simple.
“They’re all the same anyway,” The guy continued, oblivious to the fact that his arrogant attitude was only serving to fan the flames of Bette Porter’s infamous temper. “Just pick one flavor, who the heck cares about the color? They all taste the same.”

Your last update was so long ago.I have read JTG from start to finish after it was recommended to me.It has been a most enjoyable read.One of the best FF i have read.I really hope you can find it in you to finish it off.I just can’t imagine what you will have happen on their actual Wedding Day laughs a plenty i would imagine so please post very soon.x

I’ve been waiting for this update like forever! it is the best Thanksgiving gift ever, so thank u ;DEvery time I read ur stories my kids thinks that I’m crazy because I laugh by myself and they wouldn’t guess why, LOL. the male strippers part was hilarious ;D

I hadn’t read this story since the first time it came out and I just have to say that re-reading it from begining to finish was just as enjoyable as I remember! This story is by far one of my favourite stories on this site and in existence.
Although I was a little sad to see that Part 3 of the wedding road trip never made an update. I would love to see this story continued one day. Thank you for your wonderful writing!
