    Match maid in heaven..

     

    “Yes.” Came the short, straightforward reply – effectively knocking the wind out of a certain brat’s lungs and rendering the girl momentarily speechless.

     

    Bette paled, her anger pushed aside to give way for surprise.

     

    “But only for three weeks.” The older woman quickly added, knowing that her previous answer might just give her ward a heart attack. This young one had serious mommy issues; and Maxine’s only daughter never took it well when she would go away on short trips to her homeland. A clingy Bette would wail and bitch and shout and sometimes cry; seeing the act as a form of abandonment. Her vacations were always cut short because of this; but hopefully, not this time. She’s got a very good feeling that her spoiled and downright demanding master won’t be looking for her anytime soon. “I’m flying back home in two hours, its my nephew’s wedding next week and your father was kind enough to let me use one of your jets. He told me last month that I could take my long overdue vacation if I could find a temporary replacement for me, someone suitable enough to look after you and also put up with your sh.. err.. behavior. It wasn’t easy, God knows how many candidates I’ve interviewed, but luckily, I found the perfect one yesterday..” Her eyes twinkled in delight, allowing the crow’s feet by her eyes to gain prominence on her round face. “I didn’t tell your father who I hired though..”

     

    “I see.” The sides of Bette’s lips twitched. “About your replacement, I’m glad you brought that up..” She began in an unusually calm manner, gradually inching towards her personal maid. She exhaled loudly and took a firm hold of Sonja’s chubby arms, keeping her at arm’s length. “I know you might be going senile with your old age, but really Sonja,” She continued solemnly, her face slowly but surely regaining its previous deep red color. “HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FUCKING MIND?!” She erupted like a volcano and shook the older woman violently, rocking her flabs back and forth. It took a full minute before she even let the jolted maid out of her grasp, giving Sonja’s fat-riddled arms a workout and her head a good shake.

    2. this installment had me literally wheezing with laughter! so many one-liners i had to read again, they were just so good. so funny and sweet, our two stubborn soulmates – the maid scenario was a tricky proposition and you pulled it off brilliantly :-) this story is one of a kind. belated birthday wishes alchemy – i hope it was a great one – and i can’t wait for the next post

    10. Oh I haven’t laughed that hard in quite a while. Alchemy that was just an amazing chapter, all of it. There are so many examples of your unique humor from Bette’s admission of her love for Tina to Tina’s drooling conversation with Bette concerning her breath. Awesome. Thanks for posting I loved the read.
