    “Sonjaaaaaaaaaa!!!”

     

    The heiress beckoned at the top of her lungs, stomping towards the prominent door at the far end of the hallway – with its majestic carvings and golden doorknob. The brunette gritted her teeth when she neared her target and saw the gaudy ‘do not disturb’ sign hanging there. As if! She scoffed. That old hag had a lot of explaining to do, like hell she wasn’t going to be disturbed. “Sonja!!!” She screamed again, standing right before the bedroom door. She heard no answer from the other side, bringing her annoyance up a significant notch. She didn’t make any attempts to knock and be polite, her meddling chambermaid deserved no such dignities today. Turning doorknobs were for sissies, Bette believed, and the best way to barge in was to use blunt force. So she did. One swift kick and the door flew open like Shane’s legs in an orgy. Sure it hurt like hell, but grand entrances always require some sort of sacrifice. And this time, that sacrifice might possibly be a sprained ankle.

     

    Although, being stubborn as a mule had its benefits, and she was able to shrug the pain off like an insignificant mosquito bite. The wet end of the curtain she was wearing swept through the wooden floor as she ushered herself inside the spacious room, leaving a messy trail of moisture in her wake. Bette stopped after just four steps, noticing the array of large bags by the bed and a few small ones on top of it. Looks like someone was going away. Oh hell no–! “Sonjaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!” She screamed in contempt, stretching her vocal chords to the limit.

     

    A flurry of action inside the bathroom made her twist her neck to the side, anticipating the appearance of her fat chambermaid from the closed door. It took Sonja five painfully long seconds before she showed herself – giving Bette enough time to kick one of her bags from the bed to the floor in a remarkable display of childish impatience. “Miss Bette!” Sonja exclaimed in reproach, rushing over to pick up her fallen toiletries and arrange them inside the bag once again. “I had just finished packing these..”

     

    “So pack them again.” Bette scoffed, sticking her nose in the air. She eyed the tasteless pieces of luggage with pure disdain. “The hell are those bags for anyway? Are you leaving?!”

    2. this installment had me literally wheezing with laughter! so many one-liners i had to read again, they were just so good. so funny and sweet, our two stubborn soulmates – the maid scenario was a tricky proposition and you pulled it off brilliantly :-) this story is one of a kind. belated birthday wishes alchemy – i hope it was a great one – and i can’t wait for the next post

There are so many examples of your unique humor from Bette’s admission of her love for Tina to Tina’s drooling conversation with Bette concerning her breath. Awesome. Thanks for posting I loved the read.
