    Match maid in heaven..

     

    “Why do you have teeth marks on your shoulder?”

     

    “I got bitten by a hobbit-lover.” Bette sighed.

     

    “And the bruises?”

     

    “Pinched by a weed.”

     

    Pause.

     

    “Elizabeth?”

     

    “Yes Daddy?”

     

    “Tell me the truth,” Melvin implored, setting aside his magazine. “Are you high?”

    DAY THREE.

    Porter Estate, Weschester County NY

     

    The mansion’s grand foyer was buzzing with activity. The estate’s collection of maids littered the spacious room, talking to each other in hushed tones. An order had come out an hour ago, telling them to congregate inside the entrance hall on this given time. Leaving their assigned posts, they hurried here and found James waiting for them, Blackberry and clipboard in hand. Their boss’s right hand man arranged them all in an organized line and instructed everyone to get ready for Bette’s arrival. At five past 6 in the evening, the main doors opened, revealing the heiress in all her glory. Everyone kept silent and stood at full attention, dreading the announcement that was about to take place.

     

    Slowly, Bette walked and stood in front of the line-up, looking at her army of maids. “Is everyone here?” She asked James.

     

    “Everyone but her, Miss Bette.”

     

    The heiress’s expression soured.

     

    “Where is she?”

     

    “She’s not back from the shoot yet.” The assistant replied. “Should we start without her?”

     

    “No.” Bette shook her head. “We’ll wait.”

     

    “Okay, ma’am.”

     

    “James?” Bette beckoned after just a second.

     

    “Yes?”

     

    “Call her driver. Ask him if she’s oka-”

     

    Bam!

     

    A figure barged inside the doors, breathless and sweaty.

     

    The blonde took a deep breath, the brunette released a relieved one.

     

    “You’re late.” Bette said, keeping her voice cold and stern.

     

    “I’m sorry Miss Bette,” Tina bowed her head, tying the apron around her waist and ironing out the kinks in her uniform with her hand. “Traffic was really bad.”

     

    “Next time, don’t take the car to the set..” Bette frowned.

     

    “Yes, Miss Bette..”

     

    “Bring the chopper instead.”

     

    Tina, like the other maids, raised her brows in surprise but said nothing. Only family could take that helicopter out for a ride.

There are so many examples of your unique humor from Bette’s admission of her love for Tina to Tina’s drooling conversation with Bette concerning her breath. Awesome.
