Bette chuckles, as she grabbed onto Tina’s hand and pulled the sexy blonde in closer to her. "You’re too cute." Bette said below a whisper.
"Thanks. I know."
Bette smiled; she didn’t mean for Tina to hear that.

"Tit for tat?" Bette arched her brow in concern.
"Yeah. If I answer your question then you have to answer mine. It’s only fair. " Tina explained.
"Well, alright. Answer my question, then ask yours."
"It was my ex." Tina said nonchalantly. The sexy blonde hesitated to ask why Bette wanted to know who she was talking to on the phone, last night at the cafe, but she didn’t want to get in any deeper with the conversation.
"Okay." Bette was relieved upon hearing Tina’s answer, but wasn’t sure why she asked Tina in the first place. However, she was glad that sexy blonde didn’t pursue the topic any further. "So, what’s your question?"
Tina made sure her question wasn’t an open-ended one. "Why does Bette Porter like to break hearts?"
"Huh?" Bette puzzled. "Who said I break hearts?"
"Half of Hollywood and my friends." Tina arched her brow in anticipation. "Now, answer my question."
Bette sighed. "Quid pro quo. Okay, I’ll tell you, right after this." Bette uppercut Tina, and knock her down to the ground. The game was over. Ryu beat Ken.
Tina jumps up from the couch, and throws her control down in protest to her defeat. "Ahh. You cheated, Porter!"
"Hehe. Nah. I beat you fair and square. Deal with it, Kennard."
Tina resumed her seat beside Bette, and crossed her arms. "Nope. Rematch! But first tell me"
"Fine. And I don’t break hearts. I just can’t seem to hold on to it. They slipped from my hands. I don’t mean for it to fall, though."
Tina turned to look at Bette, intently, before speaking, "Wow, Bette. That was deep and full of shit!" Tina laughed.
Bette smiled. "Full of shit, eh?" Without warning, Bette grabbed Tina’s waist and began to tickle her.
"Oww. Stop it, Bette!" Tina giggled. "Okay. Time out. Stop. It’s starting to hurt"
"Say please!"
"Pleasssse!" Tina pleaded. Bette stopped.
Tina trying to catch her breath. "That’s so not fair, Bette."

Tina definitely found a way to capture Bette’s attention. Jenny’s comment about her nightmare was hysterical. I love Tina’s standoffish nature with Bette – it so makes her try that much harder. I’m looking forward to more flirtation and the next approach by Bette. Has Tina’s trust grown given that Bette respected her boundaries to only sleep? Hope you post again soon.

I so knew that Tina was going to only SLEEP with Bette, but it was the perfect thing to start their friendship. I can’t wait to watch them fall in love as friends and see how they handle it. Great writing!

just read all 3 chapters… i had a feeling tina was just going to SLEEP… and believe me i am glad she did that… i think this is what bette needs… to first get to know someone… and not just jump into bed with them… i have a feeling she will let that wall be broken down… loving this story… PPS
