    Iris Chapter Three


     

    Tina looks at Bette with questioning eyes. "Did I just hear Bette say yes?" She asked herself. The sexy blonde was so confident that our hero would say no. "She was supposed to say no!" She scolded herself, but her thought was interrupted by the soundtrack coming out from her purse.

    "Hey sweetie, how’s it going?" …. "Really? Coming back this Friday?"…. "That’s wonderful. I’ll see you then."….. "Love you, too."…. "Bye." Tina dropped her phone back into her purse, then direct her attention to the brunette in front of her, who was reading the menu pretending not to listen.

    "Let’s go, Bette." Tina said in obligation.

    "Huh?" Bette stared at the sexy blonde. "Tina. I was only kidding. I just wanted to see if you would keep your words like you said you would."

    "I always do."

    "Good. I admire that. So, let’s just forget that I said anything, and we grab another drink, huh?"

    "No, Bette. Don’t make me break my promise. I warned you to think wisely before answering me, and you made your choice. Now, I will hold my end of the bargain." Tina said with a straight face.

    "Are you sure about this?" Bette took caution, in hope that Tina would back off. Truth is, Bette just didn’t like the fact that Tina was dictating their next move, and not our hero.

    Tina leaned in and asked, "Are you afraid?"

    Bette laughs out sarcastically. "Afraid of what?"

    "Me."

    "You?"

    "Yeah. Me." Tina smiles seductively.

    Bette meets Tina halfway, as she motions Tina to come closer to her with her finger. Our hero whispers, "Let’s go home, T." Tina warrant an unwanted quiver upon Bette’s word.

    They rode to the musical soundtrack of Moulin Rouge. Bette chuckled at the sexy blonde who was singing along to every track on the disc. Bette wonders how she got here, in Tina’s car. This morning she was chasing after the blonde, and now she’s right beside Tina in this confined automobile. Our hero couldn’t help but steal glances at the beauty beside her, and everytime, Tina would catch her.

    "Caught you, again."

    Bette smiled. "Yeah, so?"

    6. Tina definitely found a way to capture Bette’s attention. Jenny’s comment about her nightmare was hysterical. I love Tina’s standoffish nature with Bette – it so makes her try that much harder. I’m looking forward to more flirtation and the next approach by Bette. Has Tina’s trust grown given that Bette respected her boundaries to only sleep? Hope you post again soon.

    12. just read all 3 chapters… i had a feeling tina was just going to SLEEP… and believe me i am glad she did that… i think this is what bette needs… to first get to know someone… and not just jump into bed with them… i have a feeling she will let that wall be broken down… loving this story… PPS
