I’d love you but I just don’t think I’m good enough for that…. Ch. 2

    His name was Alfred.

He owned a large section of a business which specialised in fitting fire extinguishers in offices over the L.A. district. He was thirty-seven, of average height and body type and loved black and white movies, fishing and collecting antiques. He was the only child of two people who had also grown up as the single child in their families. He was open-minded but swayed slightly to the conservative side of politics.

He was that better someone Alice had searched for after our relationship had died and was therefore my superior in terms of Alice.

I had been beaten by a man named Alfred.

He sounds like a lovely man, I lied through gritted teeth and a false smile. How much longer I could wear this mask was anyones guess it was slipping though, I knew it. And soon enough Alice would be able to see the cracks. And Im so glad that you found that special somebody in your life Alice. That one person you can see yourself spending your entire life with

Yes I was pushing the boundaries, completely abandoning the subtle approach so many use these days. Where does it get you anyway?

Her confused gaze proved to me that my words had impacted on her somewhat. I turned my face away, suddenly embarrassed by the brash was I had just conducted myself.

Ive come to the opinion that there is more than just one person in life you could be happy with Dana, Alice replied, her voice full of seriousness. I did not turn around. I remember not so long ago I felt that I had found that one person. What happened there was the trigger of my change of mind.

Maybe you were just mistaken all along Alice, I replied softly, breathing in deeply afterwards as if the words had sucked all energy from my form. You thought I was the one for you, I did too at one point. But I never gave you everything, and that killed me. And if I couldnt give you everything, then I couldnt be that one special person to you. I just hope Alfred can do what I couldnt.

How the hell would you know what you gave me Dana? She didnt yell, but her words were cold, somewhat defensive. It was just that little bit worse than being yelled at. You gave me more than I could ever express to you. In fact the only thing you didnt give me was a chance to talk to you before you left me.

    1. Alfred…yeah I love the goofy names we love to pick for these “other men” Angus, Alfred…Lisa yeah the new story is wonderful I just hope you haven’t given up on Soul Singing

    2. Yes, there certainly is a lack of (good) communcation between these two. It’s gonna be hard for Dana to win Alice back, but I’ll wait and see. ;) As for Soul Singing. Let them have dinner and let them realize that they are meant to be…no matter what (*a helpless romantic*). :D (And they’re gonna live happily ever after in Danishville. :D)

    3. bojangles – i love this new story of yours. so cute and full of angst. my favorites. anyway – post soon. and don’t give up on soul singing. its too good to let drop. if i think of something to help you with i will let you know. your rock. great job!

    4. you captured their feelings really good. I really liked this. It’s deep. And it’s somthing that was missing in the show. Among other 1000 things. Can’t wait for more!

    5. OMG, ALFRED!!! that is so fucked up. he has got to be the most boring, up tight, asshole in the world. is that alice’s attempt tp find someone “better” than dana. lets just face it, you can’t get no better than dana. LOVING IT!!! please post soon. PEACE.

    6. They have always lacked in the communication department. I love that Alice’s fiance is named ALFRED! I literally was laughing out loud when I read that…priceless. Great update! As for Soul Singing, I would love to see a happy Danish-even just a little bit :) Since the writers on the show only like to portray the only relationships that work out as straight relationships, I’d like to see a couple actually be happy. I also have always loved the music spin (you know with Alice and her band) that you’ve put on your story. I would love to see Alice on tour and Dana showing up…anyways I’ll stop rambling. I hope the story starts to flow again, it is my favorite Danish story!:)
