    Easy Like Sunday Morning…

    Tina smiled, she had tested Bette’s boundaries, she remembered the knowing look in Bette’s eyes last night when she had straddled her lover with stockings in her hand, the look that that said ‘I love you and I trust you’, Bette had consummately offered her hands, to be bound with silk, and she had not once questioned Tina’s intent, she had let go, she had handed over full control to Tina.

    Bette had admitted to Tina some years before that she had never in her life given up control in the bedroom, but one night a long time ago, Tina had made a simple request to Bette, they never discussed it or talked about it after – it was purely in their eyes, the request, the intent, the trust and the acceptance, Bette had handed over all control and their unfaltering gaze confirmed that it was a defining moment in the life of Bette Porter, she already knew she had fallen in love and her heart had been stolen by the gorgeous blonde, but that night, she knew something hugely symbolic changed in her life, something in her life would never be the same again. That night Bette discovered the truth about finding a soul mate.

    Tina snuggled back into Bette, her arm encircling her waist, pulling her closer, her lips once again caressing the warm shoulder in front of her, her love for the woman in her arms once again hitting her full force, how was it possible to feel so much love for one person that sometimes it actually caused physical pain, the word ‘heartbreaking’ was so significant when you were in love, your heart could feel like it was actually breaking in two when something happens between you, on Thursday evening Tina had looked at the broken woman and felt the searing pain in her chest, of her heart actually being in pain because all was not well with their relationship, that being a shallow statement for the place where the two souls found themselves in, the healing of the wounding hearts being so significant in their emotional and physical reconnection that now, at this very moment, she wanted nothing more in the world than to lie with Bette in her arms. Nothing and no one between them. Not a whisper of a gap between the two bodies. Their minds were in sync and their bodies matched the other breath for breath. Their hearts healed and their souls as one, now stronger for the experience they had been through.
