Family Sunday
I’m here. This is real, Tina’s soul said.
Bette heard Tina’s soul this time. Bette looked at Tina again. Tina smiled. Bette cleared her throat.
“KiKi, send me your flight information. You’re leaving tomorrow, right?” Bette asked.
Tina, James and Alice looked at KiKi. Then at each other.
“I don’t have a return flight yet.”
Bette looked over at KiKi.
“What do you mean? You didn’t book a return flight?”
“I was just trying to make sure I got here in time after the charter company told me the flight was grounded due to mechanical issues. It was a nightmare.”
Tina felt Bette wasn’t going to drop the subject. Tina cleared her throat.
“KiKi, the studio jet is taking Adam, Lexi and AJ back to Vancouver tomorrow. You are more than welcome to fly back with them.”
“That would be fabulous, Dear. Thank you so much.”
“That’s kind of you,” Bette said.
Tina nodded. KiKi, James and Alice exchanged looks again. Bette suddenly remembered to wonder how Tina knew KiKi and why KiKi asked Tina to introduce the Feature. She needed answers. But not today. Not at Family Sunday.
“Ms. Tee-na, wanna swim with me?”
“I sure do.”
“You too, Ms. Bette.”
“This kid is good,” Alice whispered to Shane and Kit.
They looked at Alice.
“What? He is.”
“What about me, Monkey Man?”
“No thank you, Mommy. Just Ms. Bette and Ms. Tee-na, please.”
AJ grabbed Bette’s and Tina’s hands and he skipped between them.
“Let them swim. Besides I have some questions for you two,” Alice said.
Adam and Lexie looked at each other. Shane kicked Alice.
“Hey!”
“Leave them alone, Al.”
“They were the only ones who saw them at The Balloon Festival. Aren’t you curious? Don’t you want to know what happened?”
Kit, James, KiKi and Shane looked at each other. They were curious.
AJ screamed “CANNON BALL”.
***
Bette and Tina laughed as water splashed on them when AJ jumped in the pool. They watched AJ splash around.
“Come in, pweeze,” AJ said.
Bette pulled the swimsuit cover over her head. She was wearing the white bikini. Tina allowed her eyes to roam over Bette’s body. Then she cleared her throat. Bette noticed. Bette smiled. She started walking towards the stairs. Tina tried not to look at her ass. She failed.

Great chapter!
Bette and AJ and together with Tina, he is so smart and adorable! Very clever from him to let them join him in the pool.
Bette is ready to try to rebuild their relationship and Tina comes with that line, “Things that will most likely break your heart…some more.”. But they have to make a clean start and this is necessary to put everything out and then away to never come back.
I’m sad the end is coming but also looking forward to the next chapter.
Thank you so much! I’ll be tackling a GenQ storyline when I’m done with this one. This my first attempt at fanfic and it has been such a privilege writing this story. When it’s all done, I’ll go back and read it from start to finish to see what I could’ve done better.
Bette is ready to rebuild but she’s also nervous. She portrays alpha but we know she’s fragile. So I’m excited to see how Tina navigates her fragility and how Bette hopefully starts to forgive her. But I don’t know. We shall see.
Next chapter is going to be a doozy for sure!
AJ is my absolute favorite. I kinda wish I wrote him as an orphan or something. I love the way Bette and AJ interact.
You are a great writer, your writing style is really good, don’t think you have to change anything. I especially love how you write their inner thoughts. The story flows and keeps you wanting more.
I adore AJ, maybe you can add him in your new story. Bette doing something for a orphan house, they meet and Bette and him bond immediately and Bette wants to adopt him, giving him the warm and loving home he deserves. I am adopted and it would be so great to read something like that. But whatever you’re new story will be about, i will certainly read it!
Geez they finally talk and so intense….
