    “Well normally I would, but in your case I see absolutely no reason why I shouldn’t recommend this adoption. You both seem tho have an amazing relationship with the children, and I believe your daughter said it best. ‘really lucky, cause every kid should have two parents who love them and take care of them.’” Bette & Tina both wore smiles that threatened to break their faces in half. “You ladies have an amazing little girl and you are both doing a wonderful job with them all”

    “Thank you!” Tina’s response what short but hearfelt.

    “Thank you very much!” Bette could find no other words at the moment.

    “No ladies thank you… todays visit has been very pleasant and extremely refreshing. Please send my regards to Joyce and please let her know my report will be filed with the courthouse by close of business tomorrow.” Nicole let herself out but before she got off the front porch she heard the squeals and cheers of celebration coming from the house. She thought to herself ‘That is why I got in this business’ as she walked to her car.

    * * * * *

    “Ok baby girl relax.. I will be at the courthouse no later than 1:30 this afternoon I promise.”

    “Kit please don’t be late”

    “Bette this is one of the most important days of your life. I wouldn’t miss it for the world, besides you have been beating it into my head for the last week. I know the plan backwards and forwards. Shane will be here at 12:30 we are picking Alice up at 12:45 and we will be there no later than 1:30. Kate has a meeting at the studio so she will be meeting us there, and Dana will be there if her patient is out of surgery in time for her to get there. You will be brining Tina, Colin, Ley-Ley, and my little Baby Bette, and of course Gavin, but at the moment he is the only one that I am sure that you will make it out of the house without forgetting.”

    “Kit!”

    “Baby girl… I’m serious you need to chill. You know this shit ain’t good for your blood pressure.”
