    Collision Course 4.57 – Real Wild Child(ren)

“But… but…,” said Shane her face scrunching up in utter confusion.

“My car is the one over there,” said Sam pointing to the Porsche that was parked at the curb.  “I’ll meet you over there?  I’ve got something to tell Shane,” smiled Sam.

“I get to ride in a Porsche, well, isn’t this turning out to be an interesting night.”

Sam watched him walk away, waiting for the car door to click shut, “Now, I’m not as naïve as you might like to think.  I know what he’s here for, he’s googled your ass and knows that you’ve got a few bucks, own part of Wax, and might even know about us.  So, trust me?  Take Shay to my place, its better to have your enemies close,” preached Sam in a tone that reminded Shane of Jo Wheaton for some odd reason.

Shane blinked her green chipped eyes, “You… you’ve thought this through?  Already?  But…,” stammered Shane throwing her thumb over her shoulder, pointing to the door.

“No buts, trust me!” repeated Sam with more enthusiasm.

“No really, what do I do with a kid?” asked Shane in a child like voice of her own.

Sam laughed, “He’ll lead you, trust me, just talk to him, if you want, or put on some music and let him chill.  I’m going to go, drive daddy to my place, just hurry up…,” smiled Sam sexily, turning and jogging to her car.

“But still, a kid, as Izzy might say, seriously?”

“I thought it was some sort of obstacle course…,” said Bette looking around the large park in awe.  There were various ‘games’ set up, jousting, mud wrestling, one was called Queen of the Hill, a rope course, a rock wall, some sort of balance beam contest, and many more from what Bette could see from her vantage point.  In the center of it all looked to be some sort of paintball course, making Bette grimace at the thought.

“Well, yeah, like… Um…  Survivor…,” offered Alice with a careful tone.  Then she gave Bette a sideways glance, seeing Bette’s face dropping at the thought, biting her lips and waiting for the fall out of the announcement.

    1. I continue to be amazed at your ability to seamlessly interweave so many storylines and keep them all so engaging. Knowing from your other stories that you do not hesitate to bump off main characters, I envisioned heartbreak ahead when you paired Bette with Jo. I decided I had nothing to worry about since its hard to kill a vampire. Then you go and make Jo human. sigh. Every time I open a new chapter, I am worried about what’s gonna happen. Loved this chapter with all of the characters appearing. Oh, and Tina deserves a love interest.

    2. hmm. i like this chapter, it’s amazing how you have so many characters in this story though, and everyone likes them. Awesome, i love Riley and Spencer, hint hint

    3. I *knew* Gabe would want something. Scumbag. Welp, Shane’s going to have to do some adjusting, and fast. The rest of the chapter was fantastic, I loved the games, and Alice and her strategy with the underwear, ha! Amy’s going to have to get over Jo, cos it looks like she’s stickin, no matter what Amy pulls. Quin and Tina, I think you gave us a bit more than a glimmer there… Great chapter, Janet, thanks.

    4. Trying to bring the whole group together and in harmony was a feat that you did do very well. Quin and Tina I can see that better than she and Amy. Alice is still the class clown. I loved the longer chapter. How can anyone walk off and leave a child??? Okay,I,m going in the Hospital April 25 for a complete shoulder replacement. Don’t mop the F**king floor bare foot. this has been going on since 8 of Aug 06 . Can’t do much with one arm in a sling and your right arm at that. I still do all the work but I do get tired. So if I pass my Phyical.it a go. So I’ll be able to read but the Dr said in about a year I would be 95% as good as new. Hell at my age just getting out of bed is good. Love this Love Sam and Shane. You take care and write a lot. get me a book out. I can alway read. Take care and rest. thanks bvh

    5. Don’t know why I con’t to be amazed by the amt. of characters you have interacting w/ one another in a post like this, but I am. The games were funny. Jo & Bette making up was sweet. Loved all the flirtation & hook ups w/ the couples, teens & adults. I guess cause Sam has so much it means so little when Gabe runs off w/ just a car. Def. know you’re a busy lady but glad to know you’re still working on the other fics. Loved it, JM.
