    Collision Course 4.57 – Real Wild Child(ren)

Spencer shook her head, taking the mic and the stand away from Quin, who started the song, Sydney taking the guitar from Maddy and blushing fiercely.  “You owe me, Doyle.”

“Hell yes,” laughed Sydney who was doing something she’d always dreamed of, she just couldn’t bring herself to sing in front of people yet, so Spencer had gallantly offered to sing, a gesture that Sydney knew Spencer hadn’t done lightly.

Spencer waited until Quin finished the quick opening, “Well I’m just outa school – Like I’m real real cool – Gotta dance like a fool – Got the message that I gotta be – A wild one – Ooh yeah I’m a wild one,” sang the usually quiet and confined girl, hiding as much as she could behind the mic.

“Jo, she can sing,” smiled Bette who was standing behind her, arms around her waist, nuzzling her neck.

“Must have gotten something good from me,” laughed Jo.  “At least I did that right.”

“Gotta break it loose – Gonna keep ‘em movin’ wild – Gonna keep a swingin’ baby – I’m a real wild child,” sang Spencer, Sydney moving next to her, both of them enjoying themselves as the crowd got into the song.  Singing back up, Quin and Maddy were jamming behind them.

“Well, I’m a real wild one – An’ I like a wild fun – In a world gone crazy – Everything seems hazy – I’m a wild one – Ooh yeah I’m a wild one,” sang Spencer.

“So did you?” asked Emma to Riley who was next to her mother, arms crossed loosely over her chest.

“Mom, did your mother ask you when you and dad first had sex?” asked Riley watching her girlfriend singing with Sydney, beaming brightly.

“No,” countered Emma trying desperately to not to laugh, Riley was her daughter, through and through.

“Then maybe we should continue the family tradition,” stated Riley with a laugh.  “Don’t worry mom, everything is fine.”

“Just remember, things aren’t always as they seem,” said Emma wanting Riley to realize the repercussions of her actions of being with one of her best friends.

    1. I continue to be amazed at your ability to seamlessly interweave so many storylines and keep them all so engaging. Knowing from your other stories that you do not hesitate to bump off main characters, I envisioned heartbreak ahead when you paired Bette with Jo. I decided I had nothing to worry about since its hard to kill a vampire. Then you go and make Jo human. sigh. Every time I open a new chapter, I am worried about what’s gonna happen. Loved this chapter with all of the characters appearing. Oh, and Tina deserves a love interest.

    2. hmm. i like this chapter, it’s amazing how you have so many characters in this story though, and everyone likes them. Awesome, i love Riley and Spencer, hint hint

    3. I *knew* Gabe would want something. Scumbag. Welp, Shane’s going to have to do some adjusting, and fast. The rest of the chapter was fantastic, I loved the games, and Alice and her strategy with the underwear, ha! Amy’s going to have to get over Jo, cos it looks like she’s stickin, no matter what Amy pulls. Quin and Tina, I think you gave us a bit more than a glimmer there… Great chapter, Janet, thanks.

    4. Trying to bring the whole group together and in harmony was a feat that you did do very well. Quin and Tina I can see that better than she and Amy. Alice is still the class clown. I loved the longer chapter. How can anyone walk off and leave a child??? Okay,I,m going in the Hospital April 25 for a complete shoulder replacement. Don’t mop the F**king floor bare foot. this has been going on since 8 of Aug 06 . Can’t do much with one arm in a sling and your right arm at that. I still do all the work but I do get tired. So if I pass my Phyical.it a go. So I’ll be able to read but the Dr said in about a year I would be 95% as good as new. Hell at my age just getting out of bed is good. Love this Love Sam and Shane. You take care and write a lot. get me a book out. I can alway read. Take care and rest. thanks bvh

    5. Don’t know why I con’t to be amazed by the amt. of characters you have interacting w/ one another in a post like this, but I am. The games were funny. Jo & Bette making up was sweet. Loved all the flirtation & hook ups w/ the couples, teens & adults. I guess cause Sam has so much it means so little when Gabe runs off w/ just a car. Def. know you’re a busy lady but glad to know you’re still working on the other fics. Loved it, JM.
