    Tears sprung to Tina’s eyes. There must have been a million things Bette had had to wrestle with ever since she’d left for Luxembourg, seemingly ages ago. Her reassuring questions now showed Tina, however, that the brunette’s thoughts were still on her wife. And it was just like her to keep Tina foremost in her mind,

    Tears sprung to Tina’s eyes. There must have been a million things Bette had had to wrestle with ever since she’d left for Luxembourg, seemingly ages ago. Her reassuring questions now showed Tina, however, that the brunette’s thoughts were still on her wife. And it was just like her to keep Tina foremost in her mind, no matter how complicated other things that the brunette found herself involved in became.

    Tina gave her a small smile as Bette tenderly wiped her tears away. She decided to share with Bette what she’d been thinking about.

    “There was a time I’d felt restless at work, while you were recovering from the accident. Unfulfilled or unhappy, I wasn’t sure. I’d almost lost you, and, as you got better, I wondered about my own life. Started to ask myself about whether the work I was doing was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.”

    “I had a feeling. And I know I haven’t been around to help you sort through that, baby,” Bette said quietly. “I’m really sorry I haven’t been around much.” She paused, thinking about how her finances might currently look like, based on what she could remember from the last time she’d managed to go through them.

    “Are you worried about whether we’ll be okay, financially, in case you …” Bette started to ask.

    Tina shook her head, and craned her neck up slightly to lay a kiss on those pillow soft lips.   Always so in tune with me, even when we’re not able to spend time together. Thinking about my needs, always trying to see things from my perspective.

    “Yeah, partly that. Especially since we’re adding another baby, and…” Tina answered.

    “And I haven’t been able to work on any new deals since this started?” Bette finished for her. “So you’re worried that you can’t afford to lose your job, with all that’s going on?”

    They exchanged a knowing smile. Bette dipped her head again for a long, heartfelt kiss.

    “I’m responsible for you, too, you know,” she said softly as she drew her head up.

    “I know,” Tina smiled through her tears. “And that you love me.”

    “And I love you,” Bette agreed, wiping Tina’s tears again with her fingertips. “We’ll work it out when I finish this whole thing with the gold, T.  I promise.”

      Have to know how the girls are doing, are they wounded or the men. What is up with all the ambulances?

      And Tina broke Millers heart and was back in time a cold bitch, never suspected that. However, everyone needs to grow and learn in life before they become the one they are now and still do.

    5. Oh cool, backstory on Tina. Now we can get more information on Tina “the younger years” While she lies in a medical induced coma to “protect the baby”. Bette, becomes obsessed to get even and we have a revengeful rouge chasing another self absorbed rouge. What else could you want for a Holiday break. Please keep writing, I’ll keep reading this wonderful imagery. I hope this log in worked

    7. I hope your New Year’s resolution is to finish this wonderful story. You can’t leave your loyal readers hanging like this! Who was shot? Does Bette find the gold? What about the baby? Bette’s heart condition? You would make my year if you were to give this story a great ending. I anxiously await an update.
