chance of a lifetime
MONDAY MORNING.
Bette was late for work, she had an important meeting with Phyllis in less then twenty minutes and she was not prepared. She had stayed up half the night talking with Tina on the phone when she should have been preparing her notes for the meeting this morning. She had fallen asleep with the phone at her ears and the papers untouched. She was hoping to finish up this morning, but she had forgotten to set her alarm and had woken late and to top it off the LA traffic was the worst she had seen it in a while. It’s like the forces were against her.
“Good morning, James” Bette said as she entered the office. “ Is Phyllis in ?”
“Yes, and she wants you to come to her office as soon as possible”
“Why?” Bette wanted to know, knitting up her brows. “I’m not late am I ?” she asks James.
“I think it has to do with some new professor she wants you to meet”
“okay, James, If she asks, I’m still not in. I need another fifteen minutes in my office.”
“Okay boss”
Bette enters her office and throws her bag on her desk. She sits in her chair and rests her head on her desk trying to clear her head. She took out her cell to call Kit. She hadn’t seen or spoken to her sister all weekend. Just then the phone vibrates in her hand. Bette smiles when she sees the caller I D .
“hey you” She answers the call
“What’s up “ Tina says ,I’ve been thinking about you since I got up”
“Really, what time did you get up?”
“Too early if you ask me” Tina said laughing .It’s funny because even though we’ve known each other for only a short time, I find my dreams filled with only thoughts of you. Even though she had only known Bette a short while, it felt so natural joking with her early in the morning. “Any way I’m on my way for a meeting, which, by the time on my clock I’m going to be late for. I have no idea how long I’ll be in this meeting, but how about lunch at the planet? If that’s okay with you?

I had to comment on this one.Tina is on her way to CU and Bette is on her way out. What do you think will be going through Tina’s mind when she gets there and Bette is not there? Will she think Bette blew her off because she had another offer for lunch? Will she catch Bette before she leaves? or will she run into Jodie and Jodie cause some trouble for Bette.Remember Tina cannot reach Bette, she’s not answering her cell.
I have no answers for you Avant2 cause I’m expecting you to answer all of them for me :) Jodie is back with a vengance! Sigh! PPS :)
more drama in the horizon for these two! i think i’ll go with tina running into jodie and causing more trouble. oh boy… PPS!
loved your own comments… so tell us the answer to your qustions…PPS
Jodie is a bitch…and I guess there will be some more drama for them. pps
Dang dragon lady and mean bi**h (jodi) are screwing up Bette’s day. I hope that Bette and Tina are not playing phone tag or tag for that matter with each other (missing each other).
arn’t you gonna continue this?pls pretty plsss
what happened to this story? pps…
Well, Avant2, we’re expecting you to answer all of those questions! LOL. What I’m hoping is that Tina will meet up with Bette in the parking lot of CU and see how upset Bette is. Maybe she’ll provide a comforting shoulder. PPS
So happy that Bette left a note and did not run out on Tina – talk about keeping us in suspense. But now Jodie – no no no – please let tina and bette run into each other and have romantic time somewhere. Please don’t let Jodie rear her ugly head in all of this – just when this are on track – please make jodie go away. Can’t wait to read more! PPS
Phew glad Bette left a note, but now you got us going again! Hope Tina catches Bette before she disappears. PPS:)
What the hell jodi bitch doing here, please make her go away soon. Hope Bette go see Tina and Tina will make her feel better. PPST!
Well AVANT2 so far i like the story love b&t comming together and i knew bette didnt run out on tina shes to hot. nice talking to you until we meet again
I know that sometimes folks need to take breaks (sometimes long ones) from writing. I do hope that your life circumstances allow you to continue with this story. It is very good.
