    Damn you Bette!… I can’t believe you …I thought we had sort this out and you were done with running… I’m not your mother or Kit…I’m not going anywhere.  Tina stood there  staring out the window in furious disbelief, feeling stupidly_as if she had been raped! __no, not raped , used, like some paid hooker, who she could take to bed when she wanted a ‘special’ time, and then dismiss afterward like some insignificant piece of  nobody whom she was ashamed to be with.

     

    She hadn’t changed one damn bit. She was still self centered and so convinced of her own superiority that it wouldn’t occur to her that maybe, someone  with a little feelings might be worth consideration .What, Tina wondered, would  make Bette flee like a frightened rabbit, when, for the first time, there could have been total harmony between them. No she hadn’t changed at all… she was still a coward…She____ then she saw it, the note propped on the night-stand, written on her yellow writing pad. Tina snatched it up,hope flaring in her chest that she was so wrong about the woman she had come to care way too much for.

     Hey babe, she had written. I didn’t want to sneak out on you like this but I needed to get home. I have a board meeting first thing tomorrow morning and I’m not even prepared. You looked so beautiful and peaceful I didn’t want to disturb you ___plus I knew if you had woken up there’s no way I’d be leaving your bed…there’s something that happens to me when I’m around you ,Tina. I don’t know what it is or where it is going, but I know that you are the first person to ever make me want to stick around and find out…when you get the chance to crawl out of bed there’s a fresh pot of coffee in the kitchen. I’ll call you later after I finish with the paper works…If I’ll be able to concentrate and get the picture of your naked body out of my mind .LOL.  Talk to you soon

    I knew it, Tina  said, smiling at the note. I knew you wouldn’t run out on me like that. Tina exits the bedroom and heads down the stairs, suddenly feeling for a cup of coffee.

    1. I had to comment on this one.Tina is on her way to CU and Bette is on her way out. What do you think will be going through Tina’s mind when she gets there and Bette is not there? Will she think Bette blew her off because she had another offer for lunch? Will she catch Bette before she leaves? or will she run into Jodie and Jodie cause some trouble for Bette.Remember Tina cannot reach Bette, she’s not answering her cell.

    6. Dang dragon lady and mean bi**h (jodi) are screwing up Bette’s day. I hope that Bette and Tina are not playing phone tag or tag for that matter with each other (missing each other).

    9. Well, Avant2, we’re expecting you to answer all of those questions! LOL. What I’m hoping is that Tina will meet up with Bette in the parking lot of CU and see how upset Bette is. Maybe she’ll provide a comforting shoulder. PPS
