Tina: “Oh you have no idea.”
Bette: “How ’bout you, Alice? Enjoy yourself?”
Alice looks nervously at her two friends, “Ok, ok….I came by to drop off Tina’s purse and the door was unlocked so I came in and I saw you guys, but I swear you were so far away I couldn’t really see anything. I figured I’d better leave…so I did. I must’ve dropped my sunglasses on the way out.”
Bette: “Oh, Alice, are you sure there’s not more to that story?”
Alice: “No! I swear.”
Bette: “Alice…..tsk…..tsk……don’t lie to me. I’ve known you way too long…..you watched didn’t you?”
Alice would never admit to actually watching them as long as she lived. She wouldn’t give Bette Porter the satisfaction of her confession. She looks at her watch, “*****! look at the time. Sorry guys, gotta go.” She jumps up grabbing her sunglasses.
Bette: “Aw….Come on….we were just playing with you. You don’t have to leave. Why don’t you stay?”
Alice looks back smiling as she heads for the door, “Sorry can’t….not even if you begged me like you begged Tina in the pool.” Alice knows she’s just outed herself, but she couldn’t resist taking a stab at Bette. Bette’s expression was priceless.
Bette leapt off the couch chasing Alice, “AHA! I knew it. You watched!”
Alice never said a word she just smiled and waved teasingly as she walked out the door.
The next day at the CAC…………………………………………
James leans into Bette’s office, “Hey, Bette.” Bette looks up startled, “Oh, hey, James.”
James: “How did it go with Franklin this morning?”
Bette: “Oh, it went great. He was extremely pleased with the show’s turnout.”
James: “Yeah, he was happy about it all day yesterday. He wanted to talk to you then, but I told him you had a family emergency. By the way, how is everything?”
Bette: “Oh, everything’s fine now. Thanks for covering for me.”
James: “Anytime. Oh did you get to talk with Dylan this morning?”
Bette: “Yeah, he’s exactly what we’re looking for.”
James: “Really? I’m glad you like him. So when are you going to tell Tina?”
Bette: “When she gets here to pick me up for lunch.”
James: “Wow, I’m so happy for you. Anyway, I’ll send her in when she gets here.”

This Dylan person sounda a little too good to be true. I wonder if you have a twist up your sleeve. Like he is Tina’s brother or something.
