Tina hangs up the phone and looks at Bette, “She was here…she saw us.”
Bette: “She told you that?”
Tina: “Not, but her actions did. She kept asking if it was ok for her to come by. Since when was Alice ever concerned about if it was ok for her to come by. “
Bette: “Oooooh…..this is going to be good.”
Tina: “Don’t you dare.”
Bette: “Tina, come on she obviously had her fun. Let’s just play with her a bit.”
Tina: “Yeah, you’re right….so what do you have in mind?”
Bette: “When she gets here just follow my lead.”
Chapter 14………………………………
Alice parks her car on Bette and Tina’s street for the second time today. She grabs Tina’s purse and walks to the porch. She cautiously approaches the door and gently knocks.
Bette and Tina in unison, “Come in!”
Alice peeks into the house, “Hey guys.” Bette and Tina look up from the couch, “hey” Alice walks into the living area, half wishing to see them still naked, but much to her disappointment they were now fully clothed. The only sign of their romp in the pool was the dampness left in their hair.
Alice takes a seat across from the two lovers and they sit in an awkward silence, no one really knowing why. Alice can’t stand the quiet so she is the first to speak
Alice: “So….uh….here’s your purse.” She sits it on the coffee table then repositions herself in the chair.
Alice: “Well, looks like you two’ve been taking advantage of this hot summer day.”
Tina: “Yeah, we went for a quick swim…..it was so hot.”
Alice: (reminscing) “Yeah…..it sure was…..is! Is hot….outside.” She quickly changes the subject, “So , Bette, how did you manage the afternoon off?”
Bette: “Well, I had to take care of everything with Kit this morning so I just took the whole day off.”
Alice: “Yeah, Tina told me about Kit. I hope everything work’s out ok.”
Bette: “I’m sure it will. We’re going to get her some help. So what have you been up to today?”
Alice: “Oh not much. I turned in the piece I did for your opening and other than that, I’ve been trying to hustle up something interesting to put in next week’s issue.”

This Dylan person sounda a little too good to be true. I wonder if you have a twist up your sleeve. Like he is Tina’s brother or something.
