Bette hands her a little blanket and Tina covers herself and Tessa quiets down…
Alice: Wow… you are becoming an expert there Tina…
Tina: It’s not rocket science… besides she is doing all of the work…
Alice: Aren’t you afraid she might choke or something… I mean you can’t see her…
Tina: But I can feel her… and my hand is right there holding her… don’t worry…
Shane: Nice try Alice…
They all try not to laugh… but it was not working…
Alice: I am only thinking about the kid…
Shane: yeah… what ever you say…

Bette gave Tessa her bath… and Tina dressed her and then nursed her…
Bette: What’s the matter with her…
Tina: I don’t know… she’s not crying… more like fussing… but she ate good… and she is clean and she should sleep for 6 hours… so I think I will be taking a shower…
Bette: You go ahead… I’ll stay with her then I’ll take my shower…
Tina: You don’t want to join me…
Bette: If she falls asleep fast, I’ll be in there…
Tina: (She strips and walks naked past Bette)… I’m being replaced by another woman… I know she is younger…
Bette: (Slaps her butt)… Smart ass… go and take your shower…
Tina finishes and comes back into the bedroom…
Tina: She is not sleeping yet…
Bette: No… close and then when I think she is, she fusses again… maybe she has a belly ache…
Tina picks her up and Tessa is now crying…
Tina: Oh baby… tell mommy what’s the matter…
Bette: Now she is crying… that’s not fussing…
The phone rings… Bette answers it
Bette: Hi Mom… yes Tessa is not to happy… I don’t know… she is clean and fed but she keeps fussing… and now she is all out crying…
Tina is rocking her and the tears are now falling from Tina’s eyes…
Bette: mom let me call you back… you got it… Tina is also crying… don’t worry…ok bye…
Tina: bette… I don’t know whats wrong…
Bette: ok tee… think what should we do first…

Hey Amanda, Great to have you back and posting more of your unique and brilliant view of Bette and Tina and now Tessa. Loved the real life drama added to this tale. No parent is perfect and it is only by experience do you learn the best way to care for your child. Tina’s panic was perfectly played out here.
