Tina kisses her lightly and massages her shoulders.
Tina – You didn’t show up for brunch.
Bette – Yes, I got tied up. How is Al?
Tina – She is fine. She invited us to go to the nightclub next weekend. I said yes.
The brunette does not look excited.
Bette – OK …
Tina – You came just in time for dinner. Sit down. I’ll get the plates.
Bette – I was hoping to get a kiss first.
The blonde smiles seductively and wraps her arms around her neck.
Tina – Yeah … that’s first on the menu.
She gives her a playful kiss and Bette hugs her closely.
Bette – Mmmm … you feel so good …
She bites Tina’s lower lip.
Tina – Umm … let’s eat before the food gets cold.
Bette – You are never cold …
She nibbles on the blonde’s earlobe.
Bette – I thought about you all day … I couldn’t control myself …
She lowers her voice and lands soft kisses on the blonde’s neck.
Bette – Your eyes … your smile … your voice …
Tina closes her eyes.
Tina – Mmmm …baby … the food …
Bette – Have I told you how much I love this hint of a Southern accent in your voice?
Her voice is husky.
Bette – I just melt when you say com’ere …
Tina – Mmmm …you do?
Bette – Yes …
She whispers.
The blonde smiles sensually, caressing her girlfriend’s face.
Tina – Good to know …
She gives Bette an inviting look and pulls her in for a sultry kiss.
Tina – Com’ere …
Chapter 35 Playing with Fire
Bette’s house, morning: Bette and Tina are having breakfast together. The brunette is scanning through the newspaper with a frown. The blonde stands up holding her plate and cup and walks over to the kitchen.
Tina – Ah … I met Shane yesterday. She is sweet.
Bette – Who?
Tina – Shane … that pretty young brunette with a sexy voice.
Bette shakes her head and shrugs.
Tina – Alice says that she danced with your girlfriend.
The brunette makes a face.
Bette – Oh … yeah … that girl …
She seems to find what she is searching.
Bette – Here it is! My ad appeared.
Tina walks over to her and rests her chin on her head while looking at the newspaper.

Shane! Great way to introduce her :-) Meg is right, Tina is full of love and adopts Shane right away as her little sister. I love how you put the gang together one by one. Btw I can’t remember if the show ever explained how Shane became Bette’s friend. Did they ever?
Tina is spending quite some time at Bette’s house. Nice how T + B seem to get closer naturally. “..and this is our bedroom.” Too cute!

I agree about Gec Q – i’m not watching but sometimes after their “news” i have a hard time even read Tibette’s story. And i may only guess how hard and uninspirid it can be for writers, who tried to write Tibette’s stories.
Sad.
I like that Tina is making friends with Shane. I am beginning to see Tina as a good judge of people. She sees the positive attributes in people and possibly the potential in individuals. I just hope that Bette will learn some of this as well.
Peter Pan – that was a hilarious reference. Its very hard to write humor. But this was good…

Frickin’ Bette is too damn funny when it comes to Tina…especially in a bar!! She soon as burn a whole in anybody with a “lazor look” and not give 2 flips who has to parish!!! HeHeHe!!!!!
She ain’t likely to apologize about her alpha-ness when Tina is being pursued. Tho I think she may convince her to cut Shane some slack.
Tina knows all she has to do is tell Bette to “c’mere” with a soft southern drawl and she’ll settle down immediately.

Now that’s one of the loveliest answer I ever read in a fanfiction ! Simply lovely…
I always felt that our dearest Bette was deeply a romantic nature but her numerous emotional scars never let her feel safe enough to take the risk to love someone – until her soulmate appear in her life, Tina.
Bette is so the opposite of Shane, who is the only true womanizer and player of the gang.
She just didn’t believe in love because of her family, that’s all.
Great chapter again, I love your story so much !!
