“A little…” Bette responded.
Tina placed another kiss on Bette’s arm. “Better?”
“Much.” Bette hadn’t realized she closed her eyes and completely absorbed the feeling of Tina’s soft lips on her skin.
Tina looked at Bette. ‘She’s so damn beautiful!’ Tina’s heart raced faster than an Olympic gold medalist sprinter. She gathered all the courage from within and surprised both of them when she placed a small, quick kiss on Bette’s sensual lips. “How was that?”
Bette moaned into the kiss. “Mmmm…”
“I’d say you’re healed.” Tina stated, breaking away. ‘Holy shit! I can’t believe I kissed her!’
Bette’s breathing came in short, rapid gasps. “Tee…”
Tina let out a small giggle. “What did you call me?”
Bette glanced at Tina with heavy eyelids. ‘Damn! Her kiss alone has dismantled me.’
Bette cleared her throat. “I’m sorry Tina…I could only manage to speak one syllable of your name….”
Tina moved closer to Bette. “No, I liked it.”
Bette wrapped her arms around the blonde’s waist and pulled her closer. “As did I, Tee.”
The moment was so incredibly intense and became too overwhelming for Tina.
“I need…” Tina’s breaths were shallow and she attempted in vain to get more oxygen into her lungs.
“What…do you need?” Bette looked at her with such intensity.
“I need to use the restroom,” Tina finally said. She quickly walked toward the stairs leading her to the staterooms and off the upper deck area.
“Fuck!” Bette muttered to herself in frustration, as she watched Tina descend down the stairs. ‘Don’t push her too hard, Porter.’
Bette knew she was walking a dangerously fine line with Tina. She wanted Tina so badly, it was killing her. But the thought of scaring Tina off would kill her completely so she vowed to keep herself in check.
Bette walked around the upper deck and tried to collect her thoughts. ‘Alice will surely love this. I’ve completely fallen for Tina Kennard…who just declared she’s straight.’
The wind was picking up slightly and the once comfortable weather began to turn chilly. Bette hugged herself and rubbed her arms to keep warm. ‘What the hell am I doing?’
