Tina looked apologetic and gently ran her finger tips over Bette’s arm. “I’m sorry Bette.”
Bette smiled and took the opportunity to place her finger tips closer to Tina’s so they briefly touched. “No, I rather enjoy it. Then you can be Nurse Kennard and heal all my battle scars.”
The contact of their hands touching merely for seconds sent a jolt through Tina. Bette left her completely overwhelmed. Never before had she shared such a connection with anyone as the one she had with Bette. Everything felt so right…so comfortable. It was as if she had found the last piece to her life’s puzzle and felt complete.
“Have I already said that I really love being with you?” Tina asked with a genuine expression on her face.
“Not as much as I love being with you.” Bette countered.
“You always have to top me, don’t you?” Tina asked with a smirk.
Bette laughed. “Top you, huh?”
Tina swatted her again.
“Ouch! The bruising! Nurse Kennard needed on deck stat!”
Tina initiated breaking the space barrier and moved closer, pretending to examine Bette. “Nurse Kennard, reporting for duty. How may I assist you?”
It took every ounce of will power for Bette to restrain herself. The constant flirtatious bantering with Tina made her want the blonde even more than she already had. Bette answered in all honesty, “I’m…throbbing.”
Tina ran her fingers along Bette’s arm, not realizing her actions were sending shivers through Bette’s body. “There appears to be no visible sign of trauma…”
Bette became lost in those hazel eyes she had come to know so well in such a short amount of time. “Definitely internal complications.”
“I see,” Tina replied, swallowing hard. “How do you suggest we fix this internal problem?”
Bette was determined to allow Tina to set the pace. Bette’s breathing was becoming labored as she answered, “Well…you’re the nurse…”
The moment was too much for Tina to handle. She had been resisting the urge since the minute she reunited with Bette and realized she no longer wanted to hold back. Looking at Bette, she realized she could no longer hold back.
Tina gently held Bette’s arm in her delicate hands and placed a small kiss on it. “Better?”

Gah – as much as I’m glad Tina was straight (so to speak) with Bette, all this anticipation is killing me. The kiss left them (and me) wanting more…phew. Talk about hot! Loved this as always – thanks for making my day!
