“No Chrissie that’s ok you hold on to him besides he might miss you” Steve replied
“Is this your bag Chrissie?” Allison asked
“Yes, lizzy helped me pack.”
“Chrissie can you sit in the chair for me sweetie?” kit asked
Christina moved over to the chair and sat down
“Baby girl you know why Ally and Steve are here right?”
“Uh huh” Nodding her head up and down “They’re here to take me to live with them and Matty”
“That’s right Chrissie, now your going to promise your going to be a good girl and you can call me whenever you want even if it’s just to say hi” Tears started to well in Kits eye just then Christina held her little hands on either side of Kits face looked into her eyes and said
“Miss kit why are you crying, you said this was a happy day”
“Baby girl these are tears of joy, I am so happy for you, but even though I’m happy that doesn’t mean I’m not going to miss you”
“Maybe Ally can bring me to say hi some days so you and Lizzy won’t miss me too much”
“Of course sweetie you know I will; besides you know Kit and Lizzy only live 15 minutes away we’ll see them all the time”
“You see, don’t cry Miss Kit”
“Your right honey, why are you so smart?” Kit smiled
‘lizzy says I’m too smart for my own good” Chrissie answered in a very serious tone that made everyone laugh.
“Ok Chrissie lets go home, Matty is going to be so happy to see you” Allison said
Chrissie reached out and gave Kit a huge hug
“I’ll see you soon baby girl”
“Kit, thanks for all your help we’ll see you next week, ok?” Steve stood giving Kit a hug
“Your very welcome Steve please take care of my baby girl she’s very special”
“We will kit” Allison gave kit a hug “Thanks for everything Kit say hi to Oscar for us as well.”
Steve reached down and took Chrissie in to his arms picked up her bag and walked out the door of the center.
