She dials up golf.com and Cameron.
“Hi, may I speak with Cameron please.” Bette says.
“Who may I say is calling?” The lady asks.
“It’s Bette Porter, calling about Tina Kennard, your new photographer.” Bette replies.
She is transferred to Cameron.
“Ms. Porter, what do I owe this call?” Cameron asks.
“I’m calling about Tina. She got a message from home that her mother died today.”
Bette says waiting for his reaction.
“Oh my, is she okay?” He asks.
“She’s hanging in there, but she needs to go and be with her family.” Bette says.
“I understand. Just tell her to do what she needs to do.” Cameron replies.
“Could you help Jessie onto a plane home?” Cameron asks Bette.
“Why doesn’t she stay with me? I’m sure she can take the pictures and send them to you.” Bette suggests.
“Well, she’s inexperienced, she’s just an intern.” Cameron says.
“Please just this once. She’s come so far, at least give her the chance.” Bette says.
“Okay, but please take care of her. And please give Tina our condolences.” He says.
They hangs up.
She peak her head in the door, she sees that Tina is still on the bed, now with her eyes closed. She sneaks out and down to Jessie’s room. She knocks.
She hears Jessie call from inside. She slowly walks inside.
“Hi Jessie, how are you feeling?” Bette asks.
“Hi, I’m better, thanks.” She replies. “Where is Tina?” Jessie asks.
“Jessie, that message she got, was from her family. Her mother died today” Bette says.
“No, how is she?” Jessie asks in a really concerned voice.
“She’s sad, and she’s crying She’ll be leaving soon, she’s going down there, to be with her family.” Bette says.
“Yeah” She says.
“But, you’ll be staying. You are going to take the pictures. I just got off the phone with your boss. He’s agreed to let you stay here, and cover this tournament. Are you up for it?” Bette asks.
“What? Alone?” Jessie asks a little terrified.
“Yes. This is your chance. Take it. You’ll be staying with me.” Bette says.
“I I can’t do this alone, I have never done it before.” Jessie says.
“You have taken photos before right?” Bette asks.
“Yeah, I have, but not like this.” Jessie replies.
“You’re going to be fine. You’ll do a great job, I’m sure of it. And I bet that Tina would want you to stay here and do it.” Bette says.
Jessie thinks for a little moment.
“Okay.” Jessie replies.
“Okay, great. I have to go up and check on Tina.” Bette says and turns around towards the door.
“Tell Tina I’m sorry.” Jessie says after her.
“I will.” Bette replies.
Bette leaves. She walks back up to Tina. She finds her crying on the bed.
She rushes over to her and wraps her arms around Tina’s shaking body.

I’m happy that Tina and her mom had a chance to talk before her mother’s death. Sad chapter, Luaren. Seeing her father should cause some drama.

Wow. I was so happy to see you posted and then my joy turned to sorrow…but in a good way! Your story moved me to sorrow, so that’s good, right? Sigh. Poor Tina.

oh my how sad…by al least Tina had the chance to forgive her mom before she died now i hope her father do the same thing life is too short if you have to say sorry for someone or make it up a mistake do it before is to late…i think Bette will not be so well in her game without Tina and i love that Bette she have a heart and really care about Tina ok ..2 in one day are you trying to spoil us?..lol..amazing chapter as always :o)

Aaaawww! I was hoping that Tina’s mom would be in attendance at their wedding. But, I guess that’s why we shouldn’t let little things get in the way of what’s important, and that’s family! Glad they at least had some time to reconcile before this permanent separation. (NO, chance of a soap opera ‘reappearance’? Sorry, just very sad that Tina had to loose her mom. Guess this will make Jessie rethink getting together with her own mom. Hope nothing inappropriate is happening with the foster father, either. Just hate to think of any kid going thru that kind of experience. She’s had it rough enough as it is.

just read both chapters. so sad tina’s mother died. but at least tina got back with her mother. hope her dad is nice to her.
