Okay, Julia? Tina says.
Oh, you dont have to. Julia says.
Yes, this one is on us. Tina says and smiles.
Okay, thank you. Ill have the same. Julia says.
Jessie? Tina says.
Ill join you. Jessie says and stands up.
Mommy can I go? Noah asks softly.
Sure, sweetie, come here. Tina says and takes him back in her arms.
Mommy can I too? Danny asks.
Sure. Tina says.
Come here buddy. Jessie says and lifts him up.
Tina, Jessie and the kids walks over to the counter.
Back at the table Bette is watching them.
So, how are you holding up? Julia asks.
Fine, so far. Bette replies and smiles.
And the baby? Julia asks.
Kicking. Bette says and smiles.
Oh, can I? Julia asks.
Sure. Bette says.
Julia stands up and walks over and takes a seat next to Bette. She carefully place her hand on Bettes stomach.
Oh, wow. Shes really busy. Julia says and smiles.
Yeah, have been all day. Bette replies.
How is it being pregnant? Julia asks.
Its a different, but wonderful feeling. You feel a little more womanlike. Though I could have it without the back pains. But overall and great feeling. Knowing that youre creating a life. Bette replies.
Did you feel like this, when you were pregnant with me? Julia asks.
Sweetie, I honestly dont remember, but I recognize some of the feelings. Bette says and looks at Julia.
Okay. Julia replies. She places her hand on the stomach again and smiles.
Over at the counter. Tina is suggesting several things for Noah, but he keeps nodding his head.
So, Tina, how are you holding up? Jessie asks.
Im holding in there. I had a breakdown yesterday. But Ill be okay, as soon as this little guy is healthy again. Tina says and kisses him softly on the head.
So Noah, what do you want. You can have anything. Tina finally says. He then points to a plate of waffles. You want waffles? Tina asks.
Yes. He replies.
Can I have waffles too? Danny asks.
Sure. Tina says and smiles. So, Jessie, have you decided yet? Tina asks as they walk up to the counter.
Yeah, a big plate of fries and a waffle. Jessie says and smiles.

Chemo is hell on adult,a child,mKE YOU WANT TO CRY. He will get better,I dont believe that Bette and Tina could make it with out him,also Danny thanks
Come on. Do you really have to do this?
I know that it will get worse before it gets better, but I can already feel the pain. This family has already been through so much and now they are fighting for Noah’s life. Plus, on top of this Bette will have her baby girl soon. It was nice to see Bette and Julia bonding even more. Although you could tell that it hurt Julia to know that her mother does not remember much of her pregnancy with Julia. I still wonder when will Julia’s father will re-appear. He does not even know that Bette was ever pregnant with Julia. Hope school does not get you down to much.
been reading chap 171-179 wow you sure pack their lives with a lot of problems that they have to get thro–hope bettes’ back ache is only from carrying the baby and not more for her and tina have to get thro–the saying that god never gives more than what you can handly is true but they have had more than their share–great story been with you from the beginning–i had an uncle named noah he lived until his 80’s hope little noah will–get some rest too can’t have our author getting sick

Why do i feel that Noah will need His bro Danny to get better?? poor kid..at least he is lucky to have a twin. I hope nothing happens to Bette and the baby..its not a healthy place for a pregnant woman to stay 24/7 and i wonder if they will Tell their families and friends about Noah. Post soon!
Great chapter and you are doing this so beautifully. Please let him get better, they have had so much pain in their lives and finally when it looked like everything would be okay, bam, the cancer w/Noah.They don’t need this and neither does baby Noah, nor Bette and the fetus. Oh, poor little Noah. He’s so young and it’s so sad when a child has such a dreadful disease. Bette and Tina will be there for him…I’m surprised Bette hasn’t gone into premature labor with all of the stress. Lauren…thank you for taking the time to update.

This is so sad, poor little Noah and poor B&T :o(( I’m glad that Bette and Julia had a moment together, they don’t have so many and they don’t seem so affectionate, I would like that.
