Chapter 179
The next morning, they arrive at the hospital with 10 minutes to spare. Noah had bit of a rough night so Bette gave him a painkiller and he settled down.
They let the nurse at the reception outside Dr. Lawrences office know that they are there. They are told to wait.
Just after 8, Dr. Lawrence walks out.
Hello. He says. Noah is asleep in Tinas arms. She stand up followed by Bette.
Hi. Tina says and give him a smile.
Follow me. He says and walks towards his office.
They are seated and Dr. Lawrence opens up Noahs file.
So have you gotten the result from yesterday? Bette asks.
The blood tests yes, but not the bone marrow test. Well get that later today.
So what now? Bette asks.
Well get you settled into the room for starters. Dr. Lawrence says.
Okay, will we get a single room? Bette asks.
Yes, but with an extra bed, for you. He replies.
Okay. When will the treatment start? Tina asks. Noah is waking up.
Tomorrow. Dr. Lawrence.
Okay Hi sweetie. He sees Dr. Lawrences white coat and starts to cry. Shh sweetie. Tina says and strokes his face gently.
Why dont we g up to the room. Dr. Lawrence says.
Yeah. Both Tina and Bette says.
They take the elevator up to the 7th floor where the childrens cancer unit is located. A nurse greets them. They passes a lot of sick kids on their way to the room. Tina holds Noah a little closer, Bette puts her arm around Tinas shoulder. They enter the room.
Well, here we are. This will be his room, as long hes here. Dr. Lawrence says.
Bette and Tina looks around the room. They see one bed, a couple of chairs, a dresser, a closet and a sink. The extra bed will arrive shortly. Nurse Sammy here will give you a tour of the place if you want that. Dr. Lawrence says. Sammy smiles at them. I have to go back down, I have a few other patients. Ill come back when the bone marrow test are ready. Dr. Lawrence says. He leaves the room.
Hello, Im Sammy, Im one of the nurses that are here during the day. She says and reach out her hand to Bette and then Tina.

Class chapter hope noah gets better tho x
Chemo is hell on adult,a child,mKE YOU WANT TO CRY. He will get better,I dont believe that Bette and Tina could make it with out him,also Danny thanks

I know that it will get worse before it gets better, but I can already feel the pain. This family has already been through so much and now they are fighting for Noah’s life. Plus, on top of this Bette will have her baby girl soon. It was nice to see Bette and Julia bonding even more. Although you could tell that it hurt Julia to know that her mother does not remember much of her pregnancy with Julia. I still wonder when will Julia’s father will re-appear. He does not even know that Bette was ever pregnant with Julia. Hope school does not get you down to much.
been reading chap 171-179 wow you sure pack their lives with a lot of problems that they have to get thro–hope bettes’ back ache is only from carrying the baby and not more for her and tina have to get thro–the saying that god never gives more than what you can handly is true but they have had more than their share–great story been with you from the beginning–i had an uncle named noah he lived until his 80’s hope little noah will–get some rest too can’t have our author getting sick

Why do i feel that Noah will need His bro Danny to get better?? poor kid..at least he is lucky to have a twin. I hope nothing happens to Bette and the baby..its not a healthy place for a pregnant woman to stay 24/7 and i wonder if they will Tell their families and friends about Noah. Post soon!
Great chapter and you are doing this so beautifully. Please let him get better, they have had so much pain in their lives and finally when it looked like everything would be okay, bam, the cancer w/Noah.They don’t need this and neither does baby Noah, nor Bette and the fetus. What is withthe song PUSH, don’t know that one. Thanks for the great post and post again soon. please.

Oh, poor little Noah. He’s so young and it’s so sad when a child has such a dreadful disease. Bette and Tina will be there for him…I’m surprised Bette hasn’t gone into premature labor with all of the stress. Lauren…thank you for taking the time to update.

This is so sad, poor little Noah and poor B&T :o(( I’m glad that Bette and Julia had a moment together, they don’t have so many and they don’t seem so affectionate, I would like that.
