“I actually got a call right before Christmas from the National Golf Association. They wants me to train the junior team. They are located in Los Angeles.” Bette says before she continues. “They also suggested moving their training to the Porter Valley, they’ll pay for lease of the facilities and the course. It’s a really good deal.” Bette says, looking over at Tina to see her reaction.

“What did you say?” Tina asks curiously.

“I told them I needed the holydays to think about it and to talk about it with my wife.” Bette replies. Tina smiles slightly.

“Why didn’t you tell me right away?” Tina asks. Not angry, just curious.

“It was just a few days before our wedding, work was the last thing on my mind. I didn’t know what I thought about it.” Bette replies.

“So, do you want to do it?” Tina asks.

“It is very tempting, but now with you and a baby on the way, I don’t know.” Bette says as she moves her hand up on Tina’s stomach.

“Baby, you love golf. You gave up playing for me, I never told you to do that.” Tina says and moves her hand on top of Bette’s.

“I know you didn’t.” she takes a little break. “It will involve some travelling, that’s where the doubt lies. I don’t want to be away from you and the baby, when he or she comes.” Bette says.

“Bette, listen to me. You have to do what’s best for you, and do the things that will give you something. If you’re not happy with your job that will eventually come into sight at home. You’ll be tired, worn out, mood swings and so on.” Tina says, rubbing Bette’s hand softly.

Bette listens and looks down on their hands. “If you want to do it, you should do it. The best for you, is the best for me and our child.” Tina says and leans in for a kiss.

“I love you.” Bette says.

“I love you too.” Tina replies as she lay her head down on Bette’s shoulder.

Several hours later they landed in Los Angeles. They had called home before they left from Paris to ask if Shane could pick them up. She said yes off course.
