    There’s nothing quite like rejection

    Soft trembling lips were soon pressed against her own. The initial shock wore off and she felt herself instinctively react to the act of affection, except it didn’t feel affectionate. It was raw and desperate and harsh. She pulled her closer, crushing her body against her own, the need to absorb all of her pain enveloping her conscious thought. Ashley could take pain, her familiarity with it made the feeling somewhat of an old friend, always there for her and never afraid to step in. So when all the emotion was poured into that kiss, Ashley did her best to swallow it whole, make it her own and take it away from the girl she loved so much

    There were hands on her shoulders, gripping her long sleeved jean jacket and pulling it off of her, that’s when everything snapped together. She broke the kiss, panting and staring at a girl who was no longer crying but looked scared and distressed as those hands continued pulling the jacket down her arms. ‘Oh no.’

    “Spencer.” Her voice called out. It didn’t sound nearly as strong as she had hoped it would. Seeing her girlfriend this way, so utterly broken, an emotional wreck, it was smashing away at her fortitude and leaving her with barely enough for herself.

    Ashley understood so well why her love was doing this. Whatever had happened in the car with Paula had stripped away whatever notion Spencer may have had about her mother. Something very wrong had just happened and now she needed something, an intense affirmation that she could still feel, that she could still be loved. But most of all, Ashley knew this wasn’t the way to go about healing yourself. All it ended up turning into was a vicious cycle of perpetual self harm that few could crawl their way out of, and so she held Spencer by her shoulders at arms length as a struggle ensued to get closer to her.

    “Please Ash, please God I need you so badly.”

    Daggers, a thousand tiny daggers thrust into her chest and forced out the tears she was holding back but she still held Spencer back. “Not like this.” Ashley said. “You don’t want to go down this road Spence.” ‘Not like I have.’

    5. WOOOOO you posted! lol now that i no longer have “hanging by a moment” lol…im super happy oh man i sooo wanted Ashh to beat the shit out of Paula…what a bitch!!!!! lol…oh and btw! I was watching the movie Million Dollar Baby the other day, and the weridest thing occured to me…the german chick looks almost exactly how you described Dano in your story..well i think the german chick might be a little more “manlier” than our good old Dano, but i think you should take a look and decide that for urself. Other than that all i have to say…more like beg you to do is to PLEASE POST AGAIN SOON!
