The afternoon weather was pleasant. A few clouds drifted amongst a blue sky, going wherever the wind would take them as the sun warmed the earth. Dano sat out on the front porch of her house while her mother took out her braids and began redoing them so that they could be tighter. Both women enjoyed moments like this. A chance to connect without interruption was a rare feat in the Bearclaw household. The children had their academics, work, and social life while their mother was busy running her extremely successful catering company. As a result, there were few moments where Rachel could sit down with her son or daughters on an individual basis. It was a sacrifice she grudgingly made so that her children could attend the best schools and eventually go on to university without having to worry about tuition.
But on this clear Saturday afternoon, it was just baby Bearclaw and momma Bearclaw. Most of their bonding moments were spent just like this, a ritual that had been started ever since Daniella was 6 and had a nest of unruly hair which straightened out as she got older. While Mrs. Bearclaw’s fingers worked diligently in their task, Dano was stuck with her own thoughts. ‘This isn’t a date. It’s just hangin out. We’ll probably wonder around and do nothing, maybe catch a movie. Then we’ll grab a bite to eat and I’ll take her home…. how the fuck am I gonna get through this without touching her?’
“What’re you thinking about?” Rachel asked her daughter.
The younger woman chuckled lightly, “Are you psychic and just never told me?”
“Uh huh. Miss Cleo move over.”
The two of them shared a good laugh, one they hadn’t had since before last Saturday. It seemed that the weight of the situation hung like stale air in the house even though only two of the family members knew what had happened. Their moods bounced off of each other. If Nessa was having a bad day, the others felt a little down as well, or if Mrs. Bearclaw was upbeat, the rest of the household would feel a bit bubblier. It was this bond that had kept the whole family going through the many trials and tribulations that had faced them. From Mr. Bearclaw’s murder, to Dano’s incarceration, they used each other as pillars of support.

Aww…2 months babe??!!?? I don’t think we’ll survive without an update. Hehe, I’m just kidding, we’ll wait patiently for your return;) Have a safe trip, where ever it is that you’re going. Awesome chapter by the way. Dano is such a cutie!
BOOOOOO! for having to leave of course…lol im not sure if ill be entirely sane when u return…i mean the posts werent comming in like they used to as it was…now i have to wait 2 whole months?? lol..ill have my license by then, lmao…..but i hate to disagree with soncrazy, but i LOVE reading about madison and dano…as much splashley goodness thats being posted on this site…we need a little variety :) and btw…this is TOTALLY a date! lol…pllllllleeeeaaaase post before you leave…im begging you! lol i REALLY wanna know whats gonna happen!! lol…but if u dont…i hope u have fun…where ever ur going…:)

Awww. I hate that you are leaving us. I hope you can post again before you leave. This is as bad as waiting for the show to start back. lol I love the Dano and Madison relationship, not as much as Spencer and Ashley, but almost. Hope you have a wonderful trip where ever you are going. Love ya mucho!! ;)
