To Spashley With Love – (Chapter: Chapter Four)

“It kinda is,” laughed Ashley. You have nothing to worry about. Chelsea was just overanalyzing me inviting you to my house since I never brought friends home not even during my popular days.

    “Why?” I asked.

“When I was popular, I had people wanting to be friends, because of my status not because of me,” answered Ashley. My supposed friends weren’t there for me when I needed them the most and I didn’t want anyone to know about Christine’s drinking habits. No one was ever special enough to meet Kyla, until I met you. I felt like my heart melted at Ashley’s statement at that specific moment.

    “Really?” I asked touched.

    “Really,” answered Ashley.

A few minutes later, we were outside of Ashley’s apartment. Ashley was about to put the key in the door when Kyla opened the door. “Hey Ash,” Kyla said.

“Hi,” said Ashley. You’re home from work early.

“Yep,” Kyla replied. You must be Spencer. Do you know that Ashley never stops talking about you?

    “Kyla,” said Ashley.

    “She does?” I asked surprised.

“Yep,” answered Kyla. You’re the lead girl in all her stories. I looked over to Ashley and I saw her blushing slightly.

“Uh I’m going to drop off my books,” Ashley stated and she went to her room.

“I never took Ashley as someone who embarrasses easily,” I laughed.

“I have a tendency to do that,” said Kyla with a chuckle. Come on in. You’re practically family now.

“Alright,” I replied slightly nervous. I hadn’t even gone out with a date with Ashley and I was already considered family. I closed the door behind me.

“Aiden, Spencer’s here!” shouted Kyla. Aiden came from the kitchen with a beer bottle in his hand.

“So you’re the infamous Spencer,” Aiden began.

“Aiden, I told you not to drink,” stated Kyla.

“I had only had a sip before dinner,” Aiden responded. Kyla gave him a look. Maybe more around four sips. What’s the big deal, Ky?

    “We have company,” said Kyla.

“Alright, I’ll empty out the bottle,” Aiden replied. Aiden walked to the kitchen and emptied out the beer bottle down the sink.
