To Spashley With Love – (Chapter: Chapter Four)

“She doesn’t have the best reputation at King High,” answered Glen. Madison has a lot of dirt on her. You’re aware that Ashley dated Derek, right?

“Yes,” I responded. I know that she got pregnant by him.

    “Yeah, she aborted,” said Glen.

    “I don’t believe you,” I sighed.

“She’s not who you think she is,” snarled Glen. She’s got a habit of breaking girls in, Spencer. I don’t want her to do the same to you.

“I may not know a lot about her, but I know enough,” I stated.

“You have a thing for her, don’t you?” asked Glen.

“What are you talking about?” I asked.

“Answer the question,” answered Glen coldly.

“What’s going on?” my Dad asked. Is everything alright?

“Everything’s fine,” I answered. Is it okay that I have dinner with Ashley and her sister tomorrow night?

“Yes, just make sure you’re back by curfew, Spencer,” responded my Dad.

The next day, I told Chelsea about Ashley asking me to have dinner at her house. We were walking through the halls. “It sounds like you have a date, Ms. Carlin,” Chelsea observed.

    “It’s not a date,” I retorted.

“Yes, it is,” she sang. You’re meeting Ashley’s family, which is definitely a first for her.

“Derek never met Ashley’s sister?” I asked with curiosity.

“I don’t think so,” answered Chelsea. So good luck on your date.

“Thanks,” I said. Even though it’s not a date.

“Take it from a more experienced dater, believe whatever you want, but yes it is,” replied Chelsea.

Was Chelsea right? Was I going on a date with Ashley and not even realizing it that I was? I don’t even know.

After school, I was waiting for Ashley by her Porsche. I saw her leave King High and I waved at her and she waved back. She walked towards me. “Hey,” Ashley smiled.

“Hi,” I said returning the smile. Could I ask you a stupid question?

    “Alright,” replied Ashley. What’s up?

“When you asked me to dinner last night, I didn’t think it was a date, but Chelsea said it was and now she has me thinking it is,” I stated. Ashley chuckled. This isn’t funny!
