    Ash gets a visitor and the past rears its beautiful face… again

    Figures, I thought.  I knew it had been her that I saw.  They wouldn’t normally just give addresses out at request, but Josh, the typically good-looking guy on admin’s main desk, was so obviously in on the bet that I wouldn’t have been surprised if he’d have given her his right hand if she’d asked for it.  He’d tried it on with me once, too, and then once I explained he wasn’t exactly my type he’d said it made perfect sense to him that I was gay as he always went for girls with whom he didn’t have a chance in hell.  Spencer was another such girl, but I guessed that no one else in the office knew yet that she was also gay.  I wasn’t going to tell them.

    “What do you want?” I asked, trying to keep myself blunt and to the point.  I hated the way she had come over, how she’d just barged her way back into my work life and then hadn’t even given me a day to get over it before she was coming round to my apartment to ruin my private life too… again!  I hated her!

    “To come in, maybe?” she asked hopefully, her eyes widening to their full size.  I’d forgotten just how blue they were.  Shut up brain!

    I pushed the door closed slightly, enabling me to take the chain off, before I opened it wide enough for her to step right in.  She did, tentatively, stepping by me in such a way that she left as much space between us as was physically possible.  I could smell her perfume – it hadn’t changed.  D&G Light Blue. Mmmm.

    I watched her as she looked around us, taking in every inch of my apartment.  It was pretty swish, costed a fair few dollars, and was furnished with top of the range kit, but it wasn’t exactly homely.  It was more like the show home an estate agent would show prospective tenants before lumbering them with the shittest flat of the bunch once the contract had been signed.

    “Nice place,” she sighed, stopping in her tracks and looking to me to lead us both somewhere where we would no doubt talk about the past and get angry or upset.  Or both.

    2. Wow. Now we know why Ash is pissed. I would be too if the person I was falling in love with did that to me. Update soon, would ya? I’m ready for some more “project new girl”. :] Woot. And I think there might just be more behind the story then what is at first revealed. Hmm?
