I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, and would have interrupted if she hadn’t have continued so vehemently.
“I thought “what if she decides it’s easier to go back to Aiden, what then?” I’d be totally screwed having given up everything I had to be with you…” she frowned, her eyes glazing over as I assumed she was recollecting something. I was right.
“I remembered how my mom had reacted when I told her about my first girlfriend; how she didn’t speak to me for weeks and then when she finally came round, she refused to acknowledge me being gay and kept trying to hook me up with guys,” she smiled sadly, and I almost felt sorry for her. “Anna was the only one of my girlfriends she ever accepted and it made me think that maybe it was a sign – that if my mom can accept this girl then maybe it’s meant to be and that I should make it work no matter what. It’s like mom could deal with me being gay if I was with this pretty, intelligent, confident, popular, wealthy girl who was training to be a doctor, because she was everything mom had wanted me to be, and everything I wasn’t. And in that moment it dawned on me that I could never be with you how I wanted to be, not when all of that shit was going on around us. It wasn’t fair on you -”
“So you just left without a word? How fair is that?” I cried, my disdain evident through the expression on my face. I dreaded to think how I must have looked – flushed, angry, desperate, confused; all in one sudden rush of emotion that I had no clue how to deal with. All I could do was listen to her explanation and hope I would gain some clarity from it.
“That was when my phone rang,” she continued, as if ignoring what I’d said, “and I had a long conversation with an over-emotional Anna who told me she knew I was cheating on her and demanded I go back home or else she’d tell my mom what was going on… either that or she’d do something really stupid. She emotionally fucking blackmailed me into going back to her!”

were you reading my mind? because last night i was like…ok damn i really could use an update of png! and what an update it was!! so much stuff cleared up!! but theres still that tiny matter of that bet…hmm no big right? lol WRONG! prepare for fallout. remember everyone DUCK AND COVER! i’m so excited for the next chappy!
basically i agree with what everyone has said so far. and i cant wait until the next chapter. *dances* yay spenceandash. and if aiden screws this up ill castrate him, not really thats just my threat :]

Holy COW! Great update man. GREAT. I loved it. And the emotion that was running thru this whole thing? Amazing. I was feeling everything that Ashley and Spencer were feeling. Thnk god that they are together, but now I’ve started to panic about when Spencer finds out about the bet. I wonder how it’s going to go down. I’ll be waiting for your next post.
