Project New Girl – (Chapter: Dazed and Confused)

“God,” she exclaimed, breaking our mutual silence. The music was still playing in the background, although by that point I had no idea what it was. It could be the Osmonds for all I cared! “I can’t believe I forgot how natural you are at this!”
Suddenly I stopped all movement, her words having hit me in a very very bad place. I could feel Mrs. Hyde slowly coming out of her slumber as an anger started burning inside me. What the hell am I doing?! This cannot happen, for far too many reasons!
“What’s wrong?” she asked me, desperately, her left hand finding my chin to force my face in her direction.
“Are you using me?” I asked, completely out of the blue. I didn’t even know the question was in my mind until it sprung from my lips. “Am I gonna wake up in the morning and find you gone again, like before?”
“I didn’t use you Ash,” she insisted, her eyes panicked but her voice remaining calm.
“Yes you did,” I spat, wrenching myself free of her hold. I figured, why not go down this line? Better to be angry with her than tell her I can’t do it cos of the bet.
“No I did not!” she cried, finally losing her composure, “everything I ever said to you was the truth.”
“That you were shy and inexperienced with girls?!” I mocked.
“I was shy, and I was inexperienced with girls,” she said desperately.
“You had a fucking girlfriend!” I yelled.
“I didn’t mean that kind of inexperienced,” she sounded exasperated.
“Yeah, well you made that quite clear,” I said, my tone acerbic.
“I meant I was inexperienced with being honest with girls,” she explained.
“Obviously!” I barked.
“I mean, with being open and emotionally involved,” she clarified. “Anna and me had been a nightmare waiting to happen since day one, and any other girl I’d been involved with before that was just about sex. With you it was different – I really cared about you.”
“So I don’t get it, what happened?” I demanded, sitting bolt upright as I challenged her. I sat as far away from her as I could manage while residing on the same couch.
“What do you mean?” she asked.

were you reading my mind? because last night i was like…ok damn i really could use an update of png! and what an update it was!! so much stuff cleared up!! but theres still that tiny matter of that bet…hmm no big right? lol WRONG! prepare for fallout. remember everyone DUCK AND COVER! i’m so excited for the next chappy!
basically i agree with what everyone has said so far. and i cant wait until the next chapter. *dances* yay spenceandash. and if aiden screws this up ill castrate him, not really thats just my threat :]
o how i have been waiting for this update! and well worth it, cant wait to see how this week goes

Holy COW! Great update man. GREAT. I loved it. And the emotion that was running thru this whole thing? Amazing. I was feeling everything that Ashley and Spencer were feeling. Thnk god that they are together, but now I’ve started to panic about when Spencer finds out about the bet. I wonder how it’s going to go down. I’ll be waiting for your next post.
