Spencer laughed, “No, that’s not the condition. So, while we weren’t speaking, I was sort of looking for ways to keep busy and I signed up for some volunteer hours at this elementary school.”
“Were you drunk?”
“Uh, no.”
“Sorry, that was me. Keep going.”
“I’m doing the dance class for the seven and eight year-olds. And I mean, there’s a position open to teach music on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I think I might have found the perfect person to fill it.”
“Really? Cool, I’d love to meet her. Or him, you know, I’m not sexist.”
“Ashley! I’m talking about you.”
“Spencer, you’ve got to be joking. I suck with kids. They hate me…even when I was one they hated me!”
“No, I think you’d be great. It’ll give you a chance to, you know, explore your inner-child.”
“My inner-child would like to stay where she is, thank you very much.”
“Well, it’s a condition, so…looks like you don’t have much of a choice,” Spencer replied with a smile.
“Guess not….Spence?”
“Yeah?”
“What made you…I mean, why all of a sudden…how did you decide…”
“I changed my mind because you were right. If I didn’t give us another shot, I’d regret it forever, you know? Always wondering what would have been or were you the ‘one.’ It would drive me crazy.”
“I see…but being with me kinda drives you crazy too.”
“Yeah, but it’s a good kind of crazy. So, should we alert Cupid that we kissed and made up or let him listen through the door for another few minutes just to punish him?”
“Hmmm, good question. I suppose we should fill the poor boy in. It’s bad enough he has to spend his time playing matchmaker for two chicks he’s dated.”
“Good point.”
Ashley walked to the stairs, dragging Spencer along with her, “Aiden, get down here!”
He came quickly down the stairs, taking two at a time until he was standing directly before the two girls.
“What’s up? Are you guys good?” he asked looking down at their interlocked hands.
“We’re good. Nice job, kid,” Ashley said, patting a grinning Aiden on the shoulder.
“Yeah! Ha. I knew it. Love always prevails.”
“Something he learned from Madison,” Ashley said sarcastically.
“Hey, my Ms. Right is out there somewhere…and she’s not into either of you two!”
“Good luck,” Spencer replied.
“So, what do we do with the rest of the night?” Aiden asked, wrapping his arms around the two girls.
“Well, definitely not that again,” Ashley said removing his arm from around her waist, “how about a movie? Spencer here has never seen Office Space. Can you believe that?”
“Whoa, that’s gotta be remedied. I’ll grab the movie, how about you two handle the popcorn?” Aiden said, moving towards the stairs.
“I’ll handle it, Ashley has popcorn issues.”
“Ashley has a lot of issues,” he replied before heading up the stairs.
Ashley was two busy watching Spencer walk into the kitchen to defend her culinary skills.
“This time, I’m going to do my best not to lose her,” Ashley said to herself as she followed quickly behind her girlfriend.

i LOVED this chapter…Aiden is so awsome…he has to be gay in some sort of way j/k lol. But this was rather funny too, i like the addition of comedic relief….disney movies…not that again….lmao…i cant wait to see where this is going to go…lol…post MORE!! I love it!
