    Spencer and Ashley have the conversation we’ve all been waiting for…the one about Glen’s hair (kidding…just read it.)

    “So?” Spencer questioned as Ashley took a seat next to her on the couch.

    “So…I’m really sorry for what happened.”

    “Yeah, ok…what else?”

    “I…I don’t know,” Ashley replied, having trouble finding the words she needed to say.

    “You don’t know? After all this time you still don’t know? Whatever, Ashley…” Spencer said, standing up from the couch.

    “No, wait,” Ashley said, reaching for Spencer’s hand, “I’m just nervous, ok?”

    Spencer sat down again, waiting for Ashley to collect her thoughts.

    “I…I know that I screwed everything up….and…I…..I know…..”

    “I was serious about the five minutes, Ashley.”

    “Ok, ok. I’ll hurry up. Listen, I shouldn’t have kissed Erin…I shouldn’t have spent the night with her…I shouldn’t have tried to hurt you…but I did. And now I can’t take it back. I wish that I could, but I can’t. I was so excited to tell you that I love you. I was more than excited, you know? I don’t know a better word right now, but whatever it is, I was that. I didn’t mean to kiss her back, Spencer. I was just so used to kissing people whenever I wanted and not hurting anyone. When I saw that you were hurt I felt like I was losing control of everything. The worst part is that I didn’t even realize until I saw you cry that I had truly done anything wrong.”

    “Did you realize you had done something wrong when you, I don’t know, went over her house and fucked her?”

    “You broke up with me, Spence.”

    “I told you I needed time! I needed time, Ashley!”

    “But you…but you said we were over.”

    “Of course I did. What were you expecting? Did you want me to accept it? Move on like it was nothing? I’m sorry, but I couldn’t do that.”

    “No, that’s not what I expected at all, I just…”

    “What? What? Then you tell me you love me and you go fuck her. How am I supposed to believe that the kiss didn’t mean anything to you if right after you tell me, you go have sex with her? Not to mention the fact that the night before you…you were with me.”

    “I have no idea, Spencer,” Ashley replied quietly, unable to fight the tears any longer.
