“Did Ashley know?”
“That you lived here? No, no one told her. Blake didn’t want her to run off again, she got worse and worse on her little vacations” Kyla was struggling to use the right words
“So they’ve been here since?”
“Uhh, they’ve been staying at one of the hotels on the water while their house was being renovated and furnished. So since the end of January? I’m almost positive that they’ve moved in though already.” She finishes
I nod my head, “so she found out that I lived here on Friday night? At Shannon’s party?”
Kyla nods in the affirmative, “I uh, I heard what you did” she says after a few seconds
Of course she heard, no one can keep a secret in this town.
I look at her waiting for her to tell me how she heard.
“Oh uh, Ashley told Blake who told me”
I nod assuming that would be the case, my second guess was Shannon.
“Why didn’t you tell me any of this as it was going on?” I ask after a while, feeling hurt that I maybe could have prevented or helped the situation
“You didn’t want to hear any of it. Everything about her was taboo around you, I didn’t want to put you further into your depression than you already her by hearing how bad she was doing”
“Was I that bad?”
She takes a few seconds to study my face before nodding, “Yeah Spence, I thought I was gonna loose ya a couple of times. You had no emotion, no feelings, you were like numb all the time”
I took a minute to take in her words, I’ve never heard myself being described as that. Being numb or lifeless. That sad part is, is that I knew that’s how I was and I still didn’t make an effort to get out of it.
“But you’re okay now” she adds quickly seeing my expression change, “I can already tell you’re getting better”
I nod but still don’t say anything.
“I think Ashley being here has something to do with it” she says with a smirk and I can’t help but have a matching one, just because she looks so goofy, and it’s contagious

another fantastic update. man these girls just can’t keep anything to themselves can they? love that ash got into so many of spence’s classes and that she really is going to put up a fight. can’t wait to see if she does anything crazy-like at spence’s game. pms!
again, awesome update babe. i love that ashley is hell-bent on winning spencer over. although, if the girl i was going after had a boyfriend, i would prob start with kicking his ass first, then get onto the wooing. just me though, if ya can pass that along to ash, that would be great. I love the chain of information. Blake needs to call me so i can take her out on a date proper…all this sneaking around stuff is getting old. and i miss hunter too. pms babycakes
