    Shane self destructs, Alice is evasive and Bette and Tina reflect

     

    “It was – it’s a little cooler here than it is at the University and the sun is starting to set “

    “Not soon enough for me – its been nice here today though “

     

    Bette took Tina’s hand and kissed it

     

    “You alright ?”

     

    “Fine in myself – a lot going on with our friends “

     

    Bette looked at Tina

     

    “How ?”

     

    “Jenny arrived at Shane’s and gave her the most almighty tongue lashing – it was a pretty vicious verbal assault “

     

    “Did Shane tell you ?”

     

    “No – I was here with Alice and we heard the shouting so we went across a bit fearful of what Jenny was likely to do given her slightly unpredictable state of mind “

     

    “And ?”

     

     

    “I have heard Jenny in full flow before – usually on the set and she can be very sarcastic and just a total bitch – but this was a new level of venom “

     

    “How did Shane take it ?”

     

     

    “Badly – especially when Jenny threw Shay into the mix “

     

    Bette winched “That’s fighting very dirty “

    “It wasn’t a fair fight because Shane just let her yell herself out – she tried to defend herself a few times but at least Jenny had stopped throwing things by the time we arrived “

     

    “Throwing things ?”

     

    “Oh yeah – and she throws very badly. Shane was in the least danger because she was aiming at her “

    “I remember the basketball game “

     

    Tina laughed “ Yeah – so do I – mainly for Jenny saying that I couldn’t play because I wasn’t a lesbian “

    Bette chuckled “ Lot of water under the bridge since then “

     

    “Thank God “

     

    Tina kissed Bette “ I was always a lesbian- I was just very fucked up “

     

    “I know – and you came home – that’s all that matters “

     

    Bette returned the kiss “Its okay babe. We are together and nothing is going to come between us. Tell me more about Shane and Jenny “

     

    “Jenny did stop throwing things when Alice and I showed up. But she was in full poisonous flow. After she left – Shane collected her blow pipe and a bottle of vodka and some matches and went to her room and locked the door

    2. AllyE, you always amaze with the way you write “our girls.” Your dialogue for them is oh so perfect and so relaxed. They are simply in very close conversation with each other and it shows. It is so easy with them and so loving toward each other. Little kisses, hand squeezes and embraces, so natural and you show it all. Simply beautiful and wonderful. Hope Shane gets her act together and hopefully she does not take herself to the brink of destruction with the drugs and alcohol. Maybe Bette or Tina will be able to find Carmen and bring her back to Shane. Wonderful story and wonderful chapter. Post when you can.

    5. I hope that Bette can find Carmen and talk her into coming back to Shane, it would be good for both of them. It’s GREAT to see the Kennard-Porter family in such a good place. PPS :o).

    7. Hello AllyEmmerson, I am loving the new and fresh posts of this terrific tale. Fabulouis characteristation and humor in their wise words. Good to have Tina and Alice trying to shake Shane out of her doldrums. At least this provided Alice with an excuse to ignore her attraction to Clea. Good to know that Tina felt somethng was off with Alice. Then Bette and Tina show the wonders of a true and loving partnership as they converse and share their days and opinions. Just so precious that everything that they have been through has made them stronger and more open. I just adore your talent for dialogue. Perfection in words. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

    8. Hey,every group of friends has the one or ones that holds them all together. Bette has always been the main lead, and Tina has been the calming influence. DAmn they do make a perfect couple. Love Angie with brushing the hair.

    9. What the heck will straighten Shane out. Everyone has tried talking to her,reasoning with her but non of it seems to sink in. Let’s see what Bette can do with Carmen.
