Chapter 55
Helena was walking along the beach in quiet reflection. Another relationship had bite the dust and for once she hadn’t been able to dismiss it as the other woman’s loss and not hers. Instead she found herself missing Kathy and wishing that she wasn’t so stupid that she couldn’t appreciate a good relationship when she was in one. Only when the relationship had ended – in acrimony did Helena ever realise the true worth of the other woman. So instead of doing the various things that she had in her schedule she was strolling along the beach – carrying her expensive high heels and considering her life.
She was realising that one of the reasons she was feeling more acutely the sense of loss was how little a part Tina played in her life these days. They spend time together but not the amount that they had before the twin time stealers of her new job and Bette Porter had happened to the smart Film Executive. They hung out at The Planet and went to dinner and they used the same gym but Tina’s life was different now. She also envied the blonde’s new found serenity – to see Tina looking at Bette was to know first hand what true love was. Tina had found a happiness that Helena envied.
Just as Helena was close to her car she spotted the aforementioned Tina and she grinned. Tina was sitting on a washed up tree trunk wearing shorts and a running top. It wasn’t until she got closer to here that Helena realised that Tina was crying.
“Tina”
The blonde looked up and managed a weak smile
“Hey there “
“What’s up ?”
“Nothing “
Helena reached the truck and sat beside the blonde
“Tina – you don’t cry for no reason – tell me “
“I am not sure “
“Have you hurt yourself ?”
“No – I came out for a long run but I have been sitting here for twenty minutes “
“No harm in that – do you want a coffee – there is a nice café bar just over there “
Tina nodded “I don’t think I am going to get much running done “

Yes, Tina does need to grovel quite a bit and show Bette a lot of lovemaking to soothe the hurt she has caused. Bette only wants to help and Tina knows that even if she doesn’t show it. It’s a wonder Tina’s parents have not contracted Aids with as many people as they’ve been with, especially Sarah. So does this mean we will be getting an NC-17 shortly? Hope so. Thanks AllyE.

Love how Helena took Tina on and gave her the facts. I am glad that Tina went to Bette and shared how she was feeling and that she was sorry for taking it out on her. Off to find more…at least I hope.

i’m enjoy how helena is being such a good friend to both tina and helena! tina really needs to talk to bette, and tina needs to realise as much as she doens’t like what her parents do they are adults, she has no control over them. awesome update! :)PPS
Great story!!! Glad Helena was there to be a sounding board. Hopefully Bette and Tina will talk, and Tina shares with Bette what she is feeling. Bette has been so supportive; Tina definitely needs to grovel! PPVS!!
