    Their date continue!

    “Can`t wait” was all she could say.

     

    They got their wine, and while they waited their dinner the conversation went on about school.

    “So Tina, how has your first week at school been?” Bette asked and took a sip of her wine.

    “It has been great. I really love teaching. The students are just wonderful. They are so into both singing and acting. It’s like a dream come true. I could not have wished for better students. And some of the teachers are not so bad either.” Tina replied with a smile on her face.

    Bette could see how much this job meant for Tina. Her whole face lit up and she got a spark in her eyes. Since Bette felt the same for her job she felt even more connected to Tina.

    “That’s great Tina. The students really like your classes. And I got to say I envy them. I would gladly go back to high school if I got to be in your class and hearing you sing.     You have just the most wonderful voice I have ever heard. “

    “Thank you, I love singing and playing the piano. It always makes me happy. And you know what? Maybe I could give you a private lesion some time. “

    “I am so taking you up on that offer Ms Kennard” Bette said.

    Their meals came and for a little while it was quiet. Both enjoying their food and the company.

    “How has your week been like Bette? I heared about the art classes. I am so sorry. If it makes a different I think the board is doing a big mistake.”  Tina said and looked at Bette. 

    She had wondered if she should bring it up, but in the end she thought it may do Bette some good to talk about it.

    “The art class was really a punch in the face. I have worked really hard to get art in as a class at the school. It has been my dream for so many years and now they are taking it away from me. I know it is good publicity for the school to have an artist teach, but it hurts. I love the English classes, but I am ready for some change. I have been working at the school for many years now, and I think we all need some challenges once in a while. Something that can bring us closer in the journey to become a better teacher and a better person” Bette answered with sadness in her voice.

I have to agree with emilythestrang3 and Vegas513 – I myself am writing a story where Bette and Tina are separated so it’s nice to read a cute new beginnings TiBette tale where they get a fresh start. You are doing a great job with this one. I love the whole ‘lips’ thing. PPS

    5. Oh Miss LillyAnn, that should have been Rated ‘H’ for hot. I’ll bet the song ‘Walk on by’ by Isaac Hayes was playing in their heads LOL As far as the rating goes most of what you’ve been posting has been between PG-13 and R, more towards PG-13 actually. If you’re not sure ‘R’ is always a safe bet, but you rate it however you see fit my fanfic friend. Thank you for the beautiful/hot post.

    7. Certainly glad this is a positive TiBette story for a new beginning. Vegas and Emilythestrange were also right in that some of the stories are hating TiBette at the moment and it is enough to make you sick to your stomach. Hope this one stays just for Tina and Bette and not involving joBette, helBette or anyotherBette, pretty please. This Bette is different in that she is talking to someone about what is bothering her and that is the new teacher coming in to teach the art classes. Too bad the school board has not talked to Bette about the classes and her credentials for teaching the classes. They may just find that they didn’t have to hire someone else and that Bette is fully qualified to teach art, which is probably the case. At least Tina is there to listen to her and to just be with her. Never heard of a song or dance called “evacuate the dance floor” that is a new fun one for me. Is that really a song? When the description of what was happening on the dance floor, Bette getting hit in the head and elbowed in the back, I thought it might have been Alice doing those things to her. Dessert coming up and no spiked brownies in sight. Great update. Thanks for posting.
