    Chapter 11

Rest of the drive to the restaurant was quiet. But it was a good kind of quiet. They was both lost in their own thoughts and did not think it was necessary to speak. They just enjoyed the soft music from the radio and each other’s company.

Bette was surprised by Tina`s last comment. She had no idea that Tina could be that bold. But she liked it. She liked Tina being in charge, in control.  And  she wanted her even more. Bette had almost always been the alpha in her relationship. Well relationship was the wrong word. Casual flings with a lot of non important girls were more right. When it had gotten a little serious Bette had run away.  But this was not a fling, and Tina was not a non important girl. And Bette knew that if she ran away from this, she would regret it for the rest of her life.

Tina found it hard to look at the road. Her mind was somewhere else. She knew that her last comment had been bold, but she could not help it. Bette made her feel strong and confident. She had never felt confident before. Back home she had been the tag along and the pushover. Not really feeling that she could be herself. But now she was at a new place, both geographically and in life. It was time to let the real Tina Kennard come to life.

They arrived at the restaurant and was shown to their table. After looking at the menu they both ordered pasta.

“Do you think a glass of wine would hurt?” Tina asked?

“No I don’t. As long as we stay away from the brownies I think we will do well”

“Damn, and I was so hoping for a brownie for desert” Tina joked.

“Sorry Kennard, not letting you have any brownies tonight“

“And I  was so in the want for something sweet” Tina said and pouted.

“If you let me take care of the desert, I think it would be more than sweet” Bette said, and winked to Tina.

Tina gave Bette a big smile, and waved at the waiter so she could order them some wine.

    1. wow i liked this chapter it showed the emotional side of bette talking about her work an stuff. please post more soon most stories on here at the min are going down the hate tibette mode

    2. I’m so glad you’ve updated! I was missing it….I needed some cute, tibette love!! I love this….and look forward to more…with a SMILE on my FACE!! Thank you!!

    3. I’m loving this story. I have to agree with emilythestrang3 and Vegas513 – I myself am writing a story where Bette and Tina are separated so it’s nice to read a cute new beginnings TiBette tale where they get a fresh start. You are doing a great job with this one. I love the whole ‘lips’ thing. PPS

    4. Oh Miss LillyAnn, that should have been Rated ‘H’ for hot. I’ll bet the song ‘Walk on by’ by Isaac Hayes was playing in their heads LOL As far as the rating goes most of what you’ve been posting has been between PG-13 and R, more towards PG-13 actually. If you’re not sure ‘R’ is always a safe bet, but you rate it however you see fit my fanfic friend. Thank you for the beautiful/hot post.

    5. Certainly glad this is a positive TiBette story for a new beginning. Vegas and Emilythestrange were also right in that some of the stories are hating TiBette at the moment and it is enough to make you sick to your stomach. Hope this one stays just for Tina and Bette and not involving joBette, helBette or anyotherBette, pretty please. This Bette is different in that she is talking to someone about what is bothering her and that is the new teacher coming in to teach the art classes. Too bad the school board has not talked to Bette about the classes and her credentials for teaching the classes. They may just find that they didn’t have to hire someone else and that Bette is fully qualified to teach art, which is probably the case. At least Tina is there to listen to her and to just be with her. Never heard of a song or dance called “evacuate the dance floor” that is a new fun one for me. Is that really a song? When the description of what was happening on the dance floor, Bette getting hit in the head and elbowed in the back, I thought it might have been Alice doing those things to her. Dessert coming up and no spiked brownies in sight. Great update. Thanks for posting.
