It was small but the nod of Andy’s head let us all know that she had indeed heard her wife’s passionate words. She looked around at us after pulling her eyes away from Rachel’s she still looked unsure and I was amazed as Tina took her turn to speak to the emotionally stripped woman in front of her.

“She is right Andy you bring life wherever you go I have only known you for a short time and I already miss your presence in the group when you are not there and notice how a room seems brighter when you smile. Loving a child is going to be hard for you I know but I think that no one would bring more joy into her life than you and Rachel can.”

I for once was lost for words and simply nodded my head at her to let her know I felt the same. With that she seemed to collect her self and we all headed back into the house, Angie, Libby and Peggy were all sat in the kitchen playing a three handed version of that damned card game from the planet the other day and looked up expectantly as we re-entered the room.

Andy sat before she spoke taking a deep breath as though it would make her more ready somehow.

“We need to contact a friend of mine in London she Is a very successful family lawyer I am rusty so she can tell us exactly what we need to do to try and pull this off. Libby you can call her I believe you two have been in touch since I left.”

Libby’s head snapped up at that and she looked shocked as she came to a realisation before speaking.

“You mean all this time you asked Karen to keep an eye on me? I thought it was strange when she first came round but after a while I just accepted it.”

Andy grinned as Libby spoke obviously she had hit the nail on the head.

“Oh Lib, do you really think I would have just left you on your own I had to be watching in case something bad happened. I will however be having words with Karen as to why I am only now learning of this child.“
