Again, she nodded, trying to slow down her rapid heartbeat at the thought of her secret lover.
“She’s fine. She resigned from her job.”
Eric grinned. “I was wondering when they were going to fire her.”
“Eric!” she admonished. She quickly recounted what had happened between Helena, Peggy and Bette, leaving out her involvement in the story.
“Shit. I’m sorry Tina. That’s awful. How is Alice taking this?”
“I don’t know.” She really did not want to think about Alice. It made her feel worse about what she was doing.
“I ended up sitting next to her on the flight back today and we caught up. I can’t imagine that she knew about this fiasco though. I hope she is alright. Bette is so lucky to have her.”
Tina snapped. “Her boss was so obsessed with Alice that she hurt Bette in the process. How on earth is Bette lucky to have her? It sounds like a curse to me.”
She knew it wasn’t completely true. She just could not bear the thought of any other woman with Bette.
Eric misinterpreted her bad mood. “Tina, there is nothing between me and Alice. Don’t tell me you are still jealous?” He kissed her foot.
“I’m not jealous of you and her!” she stated defiantly.
He chuckled, not believing her. It boosted his ego that his wife was jealous of his relationship with another woman. “We are just friends, if you can even call us that. Alice has gone through a lot for Bette, Tina. She has put up with a lot of shit that most partners would not in a relationship and still went to work every day to bring home the bacon. She really loves her.”
She knew it was true. It just made her feel worse.
“Everyone makes mistakes when they are in love Tina. I made some too. But we are here now, together. We are having a baby. That’s all that matters, right?”
Her eyes brimmed with unshed tears. Eric was family. He was so excited about the baby. He was making an effort to be kind, loving and attentive. How could she ever break his heart?
“Right.”
He eased back on top of her, putting her arms around him and kissing her eyelids, wiping away her tears. “Shhh. I know how much you want this baby. It’s going to be okay. You know what we are going to do this weekend?”
‘What?” She stared back into his loving eyes, running her hands up his arms.
“You and I, all day and all night, all weekend long…”
She raised her eyebrows.
“…will have discussions. Long discussions.”
They both laughed out loud. He leaned down to kiss her again, slowly and tenderly, brushing his lips over hers. He nipped at her bottom lip, outlining her mouth with his tongue before seeking permission to ease inside. She let him in and met his tongue with her own, stroke for stroke.
He broke the kiss, gulped in air and said breathlessly, “And then I’ll clean up the mess you’ve made out of our home. You don’t have to do a thing. I’ll take good care of you for the next 9 months.”
“And after 9 months?”
“Then, we’ll take care of our baby together.”
Maybe it was time to let her dreams go. It was time to live in reality. And reality wasn’t so bad after all.

Nooooo! They must break-up, Tina & Eric and Bette & Alice. But you know this already…right? I trust that you will make this as it should be, TiBette forever.

Okay, hear me out. Don’t you think Tibette suck at communication now that they are fucking one another?And since they are fucking one another, they are also feeling guilty when they go back home. At the same time, the problems they used to have at home have disappeared save for one critical factor: Bette is in love with Tina and Tina is in love with Bette. Love will find a way.

The stranger is which Bette and Tina, they did not talk if they would go or not to finish his relationships with his spouses.
As I have stated in a previous comment, I waited a long time for your return, because I thoroughly enjoyed your writing, but I think this is were I get off the ride and stop the journey. Good reading to those who will continue, but for you die hard TiBetters at heart, I suggest you stop the bleeding now, because your heart will not be healed with this story, but if you just enjoy a great story, be brave and continue.

Mav, thanks for the update. It hurts to read that they have gone back to the spouses but they do have to talk to them after their absences and also find a way to break the heart rending news that they want a divorce because they are in love with someone else. Thanks for reassuring us that love will find a way and for them to be together in the end. I know this will sound horrible but now that Bette has the money she can give Alice a nice settlement and they can each go their own way. Hopsefully Tina will talk to Bette before she decides to stay with eric. Great update and thanks for coming back so soon with another chapter.
I really don’t understand how people can kiss someone and be in love with someone else! Even if we are talking about their own husbant and wife. And what do you mean easy? Didn’t they have enough already? Why do you put them through fire again? Fuck, don’t mind me please. I’m just impatient for them to be together and patience was never my strong point in real life. Thank you for sharing
Tina throughout history has avoided Eric, more now that she found the love of his life, she is accepting his advancements. Really I do not understand.
