    This is My Family..chapter 41

Bette walked the way back to her car. She didn’t feel any anger anymore. Just felt tired really. the w hole thing was emotionally-draining. Her entire life was emotionally
draining. Just look at it….her wife, her partner, her lover, her best friend…the rock of the familly died, she didn’t get to say goodbye, she was a single parent, she was retiring next
year, her daughter was…Bette didn’t know about her daughter. Bette was horrified that Helena told Angie…..how did she? And how did Angelica kept the secret so long? Maybe, maybe
she didn’t mind, maybe she was smart enough to know it was in thepast…it didnt….matter. But Bette didn’t want to kid herself, really…Angelica and her had to have a serious talk
about everything. God…little Angie, little Angel…Bette had so many memories of her daughter. Bette rememberd the times when Angie would come home with her first artwork, little
dry pasta pieces glued to construction paper scribbled with crayons….a masterpiece. Or when she strayed too close to the empty pool and Bette expereinced the first scare every
parent dreads….Angie tripping and falling down to the concrete bottom. Bette would never forget seeing that sight of her daughter laying so still at the bottom with blood around
that little head. Ten stiches and two days later Angie was back to her energetic self. Or how Bette would read to Angelica and for the first time saw her daughter actually understanding
what the printed words meant. Bette was thinking this as she went to her car. Helena was a venomous *****, and Bette was too shocked after what she said not to lunge at her. What
a loser…how could she say that. Bette had been as gentle as she could. Bette felt emotion tear at her again. It was all too much. It was all so stupid. Bette finally came back
to her car. She felt a pang in her chest and thought about how she missed Tina, it was so hard to live everyday without her. sigh. A familiar voice made her came too though and Bette
looked upp to see Lo and Behold…Angelica!   “Angie….what-what are you doing here?” Angelica was walking to Bette with a huge smile on her face….”my painting class ended
early, mom………i have to tell you something”  “ummmm……….ok, u can it wait?”   “no it can’t, you want to know why i have been so happy lately?, well as happy as i could be, i miss
mom so much and i know you do too, it would be nice of you actually told me how much you miss her…but anywayz, um, you might attribute this to mom’s death, that im moving too
quickly…that im doing this to only cope….but i needed comfort, adn you weren’t really….available and it happened mom it happened?”    “what happened Angelica tell me!?”     “mom
    I’m in love…….with a girl!”

    “what?”

    1. Another chapter very well written but full of sorrow. I could almost feel sorry for Helena but it’s no excuse. Bette was truely wonderful there. Oh dear Angie, I hope she is not going to be even more unhappy shortly. I hope Bette can be there for her but I’m not sure she will have the capacity, Angie needs her Aunts.

    2. First I would like to say ‘sorry’. I’ve tried to comment but I keep missing words. I guess it’s too early to me to confront myself with all this feeling again… but I’ll try to do it, coz you’ve writing an excellent story.
Second, glad to hear you a ‘totally’ out -lol- I have a friend that is trying too but things are not good to her…
Anyways, that is what I wanted to say, at least part of it… If you don’t mind I would like to talk you… do you have an email?

    3. I don’t think I have commented before on your story, but I love it. Yes it tears me up that Tina dies etc, but you are a great writer, I love your style. Please don’t be discouraged by rude comments, others obviously get a little too “Attached” to these characters. Keep up the good work, I’ll be egerly awaiting your future posts…thanks!

    4. there’s a nude beach in vancouver??
I vacation in vancouver all the time will have to check it out. Oh and Cass seeing a fat naked old guy is enough to make any girl a lesbian. LMAO

Wow wasn’t expecting that from hella, that was kinda harsh.
Can’t wait to see who angie is in love with.

And you should know I will have your back, cause haters suck ass.

    5. Another emotionally charged chapter. Your writing is getting better with every chapter. You are really coming into your own style. Thank you!!

    6. THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY HELENA CAN COUPE WITH WHAT BETTE HAD TOLD HER.THE MEMORIES BETTE WAS HAVING ABOUT ANGELICA WAS BEAUTIFUL ..GREAT JOB..PLEASE POST SOON..GLAD EVERYTHING WENT WELL FOR YOU CASSANDRA B..THANKS

    7. Writing can be such a comforting release, isn’t it ?
Once more, what a marvellous deepness in this story that comes far beyond a fanfiction anyway… That’s a life depicture, with true emotions – and the power to bring tears in your readers’ eyes and serious thoughts in their hearts and minds…

I’m not surprised by Helena’s agressive reaction : following her own nature, that’s something very similar to Bette’s way to hid every possible memories of Tina in their house. That’s a way to protect ourselves against too intense and destructive emotions : burying everything inside, like Bette, finding comfort in hate and revenge, like Helena – and so many different ways for other people…

Now, for Bette and Angie, something could be helpful currently : Bette taking the ideal opportunity of Angie’s first love to share her own beginning story with Tina – an easier way, in fact, to endly let herself speak about Tina with their daughter through a much more positive link : mixing a past happiness with a possible new one, bringing hope in Angie’s mind and a relieving sweetness in Bette’s.

Thank you so much for everything you share with us, Cassandra, that’s a privilege.
… and, by the way, all my sincere congratulations for your so successfull coming out ! Your mother is obviously a wonderful person and that’s great.
