This is My Family..chapter 41
Bette breathed in deeply. the crisp morning air rushed into her lungs. The sky was a light baby blue and sun still behind the horizon, slowly coming up to greet the brand
new day. Bette loved it. She was going to visit her sister Kit, who was in town recruiting bands for her clubs. Tina’s death hit Kit hard, and Bette hadn’t heard from her for two weeks, so
Bette’s heart made a leap when she called to say she was in town, that it would be great if they spent some time together. There was much to discuss. So Bette got into her vehicle and
drove down the roads and city feeling the sun get hotter and hotter. September was looming and Bette soaked in the relative freedom before angie was starting school again. Bette
felt a little overwhelmed when it came to her daughter. She had so much on her plate, angie was a troubled child. Bette wasn’t fooled by Angelica’s “perfect” behaviour. Tina’s death
perhaps hit her the most deeply. Bette was devastated but Angelica was so hurt she couldn’t talk about it. And Angelica always had something to say. Bette decided that after seeing Kit
she was going to sit Angelica down adn have a really heart-to-heart, at least to know where Angie was at so Bette could help her. She thinking this, Bette had her head in the clouds
when a sight made her brake fast and hard. Helena Peabody…again. Bette was downtown now and she pulled over quickly as to not anger the red-looking-for-aheart-attack man behind her with the huge van.
She sat in her leather seat and the shock forcibly went through her. That woman had made Bette go through *****, had tested every resolve Bette made…had almost destroyed her
life. Helena Peabody fucked her late wife, took over her job, got her fired, alienated her friends…..and Bette felt nothing. She touched her heart, looked around her, felt her pulse. Once
the intial shock trembered through Bette’s body she didnt really feel anything. Bette only a couple months ago wanted to strangle her but now……seeing her for the first time since
Tina passed, there’s nothing left. She had nothing left, no energy left inside her to feel angry. That was the only reason Bette got out og the vehicle. If she felt anything Bette would have
jumped out of the car and wacked that ugly peahead. But Tina wouldn’t want that. And Bette was not about to do anything that Tina would’ve have wanted. The street was already
becoming busy with the morning rush hour so Bette trotted until she was behind Helena, only a few feet away. Bette spotted a vacant table on the patio of a coffee shop…she
speeded up, and took a hold of Helena’s hand.

Did not see that coming out her i mean lol fix it!!!!!!!!
Another chapter very well written but full of sorrow. I could almost feel sorry for Helena but it’s no excuse. Bette was truely wonderful there. Oh dear Angie, I hope she is not going to be even more unhappy shortly. I hope Bette can be there for her but I’m not sure she will have the capacity, Angie needs her Aunts.
First I would like to say ‘sorry’. I’ve tried to comment but I keep missing words. I guess it’s too early to me to confront myself with all this feeling again… but I’ll try to do it, coz you’ve writing an excellent story.
Second, glad to hear you a ‘totally’ out -lol- I have a friend that is trying too but things are not good to her…
Anyways, that is what I wanted to say, at least part of it… If you don’t mind I would like to talk you… do you have an email?
I don’t think I have commented before on your story, but I love it. Yes it tears me up that Tina dies etc, but you are a great writer, I love your style. Please don’t be discouraged by rude comments, others obviously get a little too “Attached” to these characters. Keep up the good work, I’ll be egerly awaiting your future posts…thanks!
there’s a nude beach in vancouver??
I vacation in vancouver all the time will have to check it out. Oh and Cass seeing a fat naked old guy is enough to make any girl a lesbian. LMAO
Wow wasn’t expecting that from hella, that was kinda harsh.
Can’t wait to see who angie is in love with.
And you should know I will have your back, cause haters suck ass.
Another emotionally charged chapter. Your writing is getting better with every chapter. You are really coming into your own style. Thank you!!
THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY HELENA CAN COUPE WITH WHAT BETTE HAD TOLD HER.THE MEMORIES BETTE WAS HAVING ABOUT ANGELICA WAS BEAUTIFUL ..GREAT JOB..PLEASE POST SOON..GLAD EVERYTHING WENT WELL FOR YOU CASSANDRA B..THANKS
In the beginning I had trouble with this story but I could not ignore it….It just keeps getting better and better. Keep up the great work
Writing can be such a comforting release, isn’t it ?
Once more, what a marvellous deepness in this story that comes far beyond a fanfiction anyway… That’s a life depicture, with true emotions – and the power to bring tears in your readers’ eyes and serious thoughts in their hearts and minds…
I’m not surprised by Helena’s agressive reaction : following her own nature, that’s something very similar to Bette’s way to hid every possible memories of Tina in their house. That’s a way to protect ourselves against too intense and destructive emotions : burying everything inside, like Bette, finding comfort in hate and revenge, like Helena – and so many different ways for other people…
Now, for Bette and Angie, something could be helpful currently : Bette taking the ideal opportunity of Angie’s first love to share her own beginning story with Tina – an easier way, in fact, to endly let herself speak about Tina with their daughter through a much more positive link : mixing a past happiness with a possible new one, bringing hope in Angie’s mind and a relieving sweetness in Bette’s.
Thank you so much for everything you share with us, Cassandra, that’s a privilege.
… and, by the way, all my sincere congratulations for your so successfull coming out ! Your mother is obviously a wonderful person and that’s great.
