The Suitcase
Do not charge. Do not charge. Do not charge. Let her find her way back to you.
Tina ran her hand through her hair and grabbed the back of her neck.
Tina took her time getting ready. She needed to give them both space. She emerged from the guest room 30 minutes later. She was dressed for a run. She wondered how long Bette was going to be in the pool. It was probably going to be a while. A lot had already happened over the past few days. It hadn’t been a week since Tina returned. But it felt like a lot longer. She knew Bette used swimming as a form of therapy.
“I’ve created such a mess,” Tina whispered.
She shook that thought out of her head. She couldn’t keep harping on what she did or did not do or how much she fucked up. She needed to focus on what she was currently doing…and that was getting her woman back.
Tina walked into their bedroom. Their bedroom. She looked around with a sad but hopeful smile. Tina knew she would be back in here soon. She just had to be patient. However, patience was definitely not her strong suit. This was going to be a big test for the blonde.
Tina walked over to the bed. Only one side was disheveled. Tina went to her side of the bed. It was perfectly neat. Tina imagined Bette turning her back on this side, not wanting to see the empty spot. She imagined Bette forcing herself to sleep as still as possible. Tina pulled the covers back. She slid in and laid on her side facing Bette’s side. She drew circles on Bette’s pillow. Tina grabbed Bette’s pillow and hugged it tight. She inhaled and was assaulted by Bette’s scent. She buried her face into the pillow and felt the tears starting to form.
Tina hopped out of bed, grabbed the back of her neck and looked up. She silently screamed before collecting herself.
She looked at the bed, exhaled and made it up. She straightened up the rest of the room. There wasn’t much to straighten. Bette had always been a neat freak but Tina wasn’t ready to leave their bedroom just yet. She took her time. She looked around the room again.

What a great chapter and I’m glad that the fact Jennifer was in Texas inspired you to update your story.
Slow steps but I’m sure that Bette will find the trust that Tina is not going to leave her.
Thank you so much. JB was lovely and I am so grateful I was able to meet her.
Slow steps for sure. But I think they are on their way. Therapy should be interesting.
Thanks for the update. I could feel the panic in Bette when she saw the suitcase. Very understandable. And it’s good that Tina realized that Bette needed the truth and some reassurance that the situation was nothing to be scared about. But triggers like this will happen from time to time…
I really want Bette to begin to trust Tina again. But these things take time. So take the time Bette. Take the time to get to know Tina again. And I mean to really know her. And for god’s sake trust yourself. Trust what you see in Tina and her responses. No one cooks you a dinner when they are about to walk out the door.
Looking forward to this journey. Thankyou.
Yes! It’s definitely about trust. Tina needs to be patient and Bette needs to open up to Tina. It is going to be a journey. Therapy is going to brutal! Thanks so much for reading.
OMG! The tension is so powerful! I know it will take some time for Bette to trust Tina again but must it be be so painful? Please don’t charge Tina! It was so good to see the pictures of them together so I feel their inspiration in your story. Keep the flow coming. They will make it back and it’s going to be epic. Epic I tell you!
It gets more painful. But I am hopeful. The next chapter is up.
You have no idea how interesting this story is. I have read it so many times. I can’t wait for the next chapter. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much. Your wait is over. The next chapter is up.
Loved it!
Can’t wait for more!
