“I told her about us. What we did.”
“And she hit you?” Tina was incredulous.
“She slapped me, Tina. It’s certainly not the first time that has happened.”
Tina blanched at the memory, “We had been together 7 years, Bette. I was so hurt – but it didn’t make what I did right, and it sure as shit doesn’t make what Hodie did right, either.”
“In any case, it’s over. I doubt she’ll be back.”
“Do you want her back?”
“No,” Bette stated unequivocally.
Tina reached out for Bette’s face again and this time Bette didn’t stop her. She cradled Bette’s face in her right hand and Bette closed her eyes and leaned into her touch, sighing softly.
“Bette, we need to talk.”
“I know.”
“You have anywhere you need to be?”
“I’m where I want to be, right now, if that’s okay with you?”
“Of course it is. Come here,” Tina pulled Bette closer, wrapping her arms around her shoulders. Bette couldn’t help but snuggle in, resting her head in the crook of Tina’s neck.
“Does it hurt? Your cheek?”
“No, not really. If it wasn’t for her ring, it wouldn’t have left a mark.”
“Did you at least hit her back?” Tina attempted to suppress a giggle.
“Ah…no.” Bette’s smile had a tinge of sadness, “I just feel bad for the way I blurted it out. She asked what was wrong and out of nowhere, ‘I slept with Tina’. It was out of my mouth before I could even think about it. And to be honest, I’m a bit relieved. As badly as I feel about this, it allows me to focus on what’s really important.”
“What’s that?” Tina hoped she knew the answer.
“You, Tina…Angelica…Us.” Bette sat up and looked into Tina’s eyes, “I’m just so scared.”
“That it won’t work?”
“That I’ll sabotage this like I’ve sabotaged everything else in my life. I’ve been to see Dan on my own. I’ve talked through my issues so many times. Maybe I’m just like my mother. When it comes right down to it – when things get tough, I find a way to deal by separating myself – either physically or mentally – from that situation.”
“Bette, you’re nothing like your mother. You would never in a million years leave Angie. When things were bad between us – when I was absolutely impossible to deal with – you were always right there – trying to make things work.”

Loved it. Hope to see you posting more TiBette. It was sweet, had two sex scenes, and left it off with the promise of some adorable family time. All around it was a great first effort to read.

Great story (hopefully the beginning), there was so much packed in…the passion and HOT steamy sex…the laughter with Alice being trapped outside the bathroom…the drama of Jodie…and the sweet promise of Kennard-Porter family time. I hope there will be more.

This was enjoyable. I loved the Alpha Tina in the bathroom having her way with Bette. And Bette so shaken, that Tina took charge.
I enjoyed this version of Bette&Tina reconnecting better than the aired one on Showtime, by IC&Co.
