    Bette stared into her sister’s eyes and took a deep breath, blowing it out slowly, “I love Tina. I’m in love with her and I just…I just can’t bear the thought of losing her again.

    “I felt so lost, then. I should have really been there, taken charge – I just, I had never been fired from anything – I had never failed a job. More importantly I failed you. I had worked so hard my entire life to get where I was at and it was gone. And to make matters worse, I had no idea what was going on with you.”

    “Because we never talked about it, Bette. We pretended everything was okay because we knew it wasn’t and we were too afraid to deal with it. And…well…Henry came along and I think subconsciously it was the ultimate ‘fuck you’ moment. It was the one thing I knew would hurt you as much as you hurt me.”

    “I thought at that moment you were denying what our life had been together – that it was nothing more than an experiment to you.”

    “It was never anything other than being in love with the one person in the world that completed me, Bette. You were it for me. That time is such a blur, now. No matter how often I told myself I was over you, I just couldn’t stop wondering what if, you know? What if we had tried harder? What if we had been honest with each other? When you started seeing Jodie it was a wake-up call. You were happy and seemingly in love and here you are trying to be the person I always saw in you – I thought ‘well I’ve done it now’. I waited far too long to make up my mind about what I really wanted.”

    “And that was?”

    “My family back. I wanted my best friend, and my lover – the mother of my child.”

    “This isn’t going to be easy, Tina. But I want this to work so badly. I’ll do anything to make this work.”

    “Me too,” Tina wiped the tears from Bette’s eyes as Bette did the same for her. “I know we have so much more to talk about, but I think we’re on the right path.”

    Bette took Tina’s hands in her own and kissed the inside of each palm, “I love you, Tee.” Bette leaned forward and kissed Tina’s lips, working her way from Tina’s mouth up to her ear. “So…how long do you think we have until Angie wakes up?” Tina could hear the devilish grin in Bette’s voice and sighed as Bette licked her ear lobe, taking it into her mouth and sucking it softly.

    3. Loved it. Hope to see you posting more TiBette. It was sweet, had two sex scenes, and left it off with the promise of some adorable family time. All around it was a great first effort to read.

    5. Great story (hopefully the beginning), there was so much packed in…the passion and HOT steamy sex…the laughter with Alice being trapped outside the bathroom…the drama of Jodie…and the sweet promise of Kennard-Porter family time. I hope there will be more.
