    Bette stared into her sister’s eyes and took a deep breath, blowing it out slowly, “I love Tina. I’m in love with her and I just…I just can’t bear the thought of losing her again.

    “You wanted monogamy! You wanted an exclusive relationship! You’re a liar and a cheat, Bette. You’re a fucking asshole.” Jodie punctuated the last sentence with a direct slap to Bette’s face. Bette, shocked by the force of the blow flinched, not with the slap, but with Jodie’s last words, said aloud, tears streaming down her face, “I told you not to break my heart”. Bette sank to her knees on the kitchen floor, the last lucent sound, the slamming of the front door.

     

     

    CHAPTER 5 (final chapter)

    Tina dressed, re-dressed, and changed a third time knowing that Bette would be by at any moment to pick up Angie for the weekend. They hadn’t had much time together yesterday, except for that one moment in Bev & Nina’s bedroom. Tina couldn’t help but to smile to herself. It felt like the first time again, like when they had first started dating. She felt like she was in high-school, her stomach in knots every time Bette smiled her way. She and Bette were…she couldn’t finish the thought. Were they back together? Was it a fling? Tina honestly couldn’t make heads or tails of how this new go-round would end, but hoped beyond hope that it would find the two of them together again. She knew it was wrong to go after Bette when Bette was with Jodie, but she couldn’t help herself. Hadn’t Bette been Tina’s first? Bette was supposed to be her first, last, and forever. What the hell happened?

    After all the fuss, Tina had finally settled on a white tank top and a snug pair of jeans when she heard a soft knock. Tina closed the door to Angie’s room so as not to wake her from her nap, took a deep breath, and answered the door.

    “Hi” Bette greeted her softly. Bette, with her hair up and in a t-shirt and jeans looked exhausted, like she had been crying all morning – but the only thing Tina could focus on was the welt beneath her left eye.

    “What happened to your face, Bette?

    “Nothing…It’s nothing. I’m fine,” Bette slipped by Tina and sat on the couch, “Is Angie napping?”

    “Yeah, she went down about a half hour ago.” Tina could feel anger swell in her chest – had Jodie done something? “Bette, please tell me what happened” Tina sat beside her and reached out to touch her face. Bette stopped Tina’s hand, mid-air, with her own.

    3. Loved it. Hope to see you posting more TiBette. It was sweet, had two sex scenes, and left it off with the promise of some adorable family time. All around it was a great first effort to read.

    5. Great story (hopefully the beginning), there was so much packed in…the passion and HOT steamy sex…the laughter with Alice being trapped outside the bathroom…the drama of Jodie…and the sweet promise of Kennard-Porter family time. I hope there will be more.
