The Mythical Season 3.5 – “Episode 36: Cats In The Cradle”

    Candace: Got a minute?

    Dylan: I’ll be the truck.

Candace and Dylan kiss each other on the lips before Dylan departs.

Tina: I have lunch in a few.

    Candace: That’s all it’ll take.

    Tina: …Fine.

Tina allows Candace into her office.  She closes the door and stands with her arms crossed.

Candace: I really hope you didn’t take offense to anything I said back at The Planet.

Tina: You essentially told me to get over it.

Candace: Well yeah…you should.  But I don’t want you still pissed off.  That ain’t gonna do anybody good.  This isn’t for me, either.  This is for Dylan and really more for you and Bette.

Tina: Right.  You’re the ultra strong type, I forget.  What do you want me to do, huh?  Pat you on the back and say that it’s okay you fucked my girlfriend?

Candace: No.  I want you to think about the fact that she still is.

    Tina: Actually, we’re engaged.

    Candace: Great.  Congrats.

Tina: Thank you.  That doesn’t change what happened between you two.

Candace: No it doesn’t.  But tell me…was your relationship on the right track to begin with back then?  Was it all rosey?

    Tina: …

Candace: Honestly.  I remember my ex, Yolanda telling me about the two of you being in therapy.

    Tina: Yolanda…I remember her.  Combative…

Candace: Pretty much.  We don’t talk much anymore.

Tina: Like I said, I gotta go to lunch.

    Candace: Alright.

Tina: So can I go now?

Candace: Where ya gettin’ married at?

    Tina: Planet….at The Planet.

Candace: Alright.  Listen, if you need any help on the design of the wedding or anything, just call.

Candace reaches into her pocket and pulls out a business card with her name and phone number on it.  She then walks to the door and opens it, looking back one last time.

Candace: Just remember, Tina….ultimately…she chose you.  I should be the bitter one.

    Tina: Are you?

Candace: I got Dylan.  That’s all I need.

Candace grins and leaves, closing the door behind her.  Tina smiles to herself for a moment and then prepares for lunch…but not before placing Candace’s card in her own pocket.

Shane sits quietly at the table across from Gabe and Shay, hands in her pocket.  Shay’s attention is mostly on the portable video game system he’s playing.

    1. Gabe’s an ass. Why didn’t he leave Shay w/ his wife’s family? Very surprised Jenny made the call to Tim, Bette or Tina should’ve done it. Cool update.

    2. Why didn’t Gabe leave Shay with his mother family. He is very sorry. Shay has got batteries on the brain. Poor Shane she has her hands full. Shay didnt seem to mind where he lands. thanks
