Alice and Lara glance at each other for a moment and Alice smirks.  Tonya notices right away.

Tonya: What?

Alice: Friend of ours is selling her beach house.

Lara: Could be a coincidence.

Tonya: Man, this World just keeps getting smaller and smaller doesn’t it?  It’s crazy!

Tonya laughs and Alice and Lara share in it for a moment.

Tonya: Listen…I just wanted to drop by though and say hello and I really hope the two of you are able to be happy.  I know I’m working on my own happiness right now.

Tonya stands and caresses her own belly, eagerly awaiting what’s to come in a little over 8 months.  Alice and Lara stand as well and walk over to Tonya.  Tonya places her arms around each.

Alice: Me and Lara are working on ours, too.

Tonya looks at Alice….then turns and looks at Lara.  She then looks ahead and bites her lip, smiling.  She senses the true meaning behind those words Alice has spoken.  She then nods.

Tonya: I hope you both make it.

Tonya kisses Alice on the cheek and then turns and kisses Lara on the cheek.

Tonya: It was good to finally meet you.

Tonya begins heading for the door.

Alice: Keep in touch!

Tonya smiles.

Tonya: I promise.  And you two…take good care of one another.

Tonya opens the door and departs, closing the door behind her.

Alice and Lara look at each other, their arms draped around each other.

Lara: That was very interesting.

Alice: Tonya’s a very interesting gal.

Lara kisses Alice on the lips and grins.

Lara: Hungry?

As everything has unfolded, it has done so at the presence of an angel named Dana.  She watches on, feeling a little more at peace.

Dusk has settled in and the stars are out tonight.  The day has reached its end and Dana watches as Alice and Lara make their way to the bedroom.  They kiss each other goodnight, feeling a solace between them.  Dana’s angelic form begins to glide over the weary bodies in bed.  Alice and Lara hold each other with Alice’s head resting against Lara’s chest and Lara’s right hand running through Alice’s hair.  Dana can hear the angels calling from above and knows it’s time.  Dana places her hands against Alice and Lara’s faces and for an instant…..a second of time if nothing else….they all believe.  Dana kisses Lara and then Alice.  Dana’s angelic body begins to rise up to Eternity and she watches them both.  Alice and Lara both look up, their minds not being able to fully register what their hearts are feeling in those precious seconds of time.  But they feel something special and it’s comforting to two women comforting each other.  Before Dana finally disappears into the night, she says her goodbye.

Dana: I love you….both.

Alice and Lara look at each other.  Their hearts are racing.  They feel overwhelmed with emotion without being able to fully understand why.  But they do believe in love.  And they proceed to share that belief with each other in a way that only lovers can in this moment of intimacy.

Kara greets Dana upon her ascension.

Kara: Welcome home.

Kara disappears and now a familiar face runs towards Dana.  He leaps at her and Dana catches him.  Dana cradles him as she sits down in Heaven.

Dana: Mr. Piddles!!!

Dana and her beloved cat are home.
